Lorenzo Lamas Partners With Ralph Randolph For 2 New Custom Production Models

Ralph Randolph from Knockout Motorcycles and Lorenzo Lamas had a previous collaboration before Lorenzo Cycles partnered with Eddie Trotta. They join again to create 2 new performance models, the Patriot – a chopper with ape hangers – and the Reno Rocket whose lines are inspired by those of a board tracker. So, why Lorenzo would join again  former US Marine, former club member, father, offspring of multiple Rodeo Hall Of Famers, US Airways captain and Custom Builder Ralph Randolph? Simply because new economic realities show that not many can afford Eddie Trotta’s 70K custom works of art even with a celebrity name on it. Lorenzo Cycles reasoning is that there are still market opportunities in the relatively untapped market segment between the average Joe “bolt-on part” customs and the high end custom motorcycles.

The signature Lorenzo Cycles Patriot model is described by Lorenzo and Ralph as a no nonsense stance and setup custom, This model will be associated with a major event hosted in Nashville in June 2011 where Lorenzo and Ralph will lead 1000 riders from Ft. Campbell to Nashville in honor of the 101st Airborne and all the men and women around the world standing in harm’s way to protect our freedoms. The 2nd new production bike, the Reno Rocket board tracker, is designed to make a statement and is also sensibly priced at half the price of the Lorenzo Cycles Icon and the Lorenzo Cycles Badlander produced with Eddie Trotta. On another note, Lorenzo Cycles entered into an agreement with Oakley to launch a new line of biker sunglasses for men and women to be unveiled later this week.

My question would not be why Lorenzo would but why would Ralph, like remarrying your ex-wife who divorced you, with Ralph and other builders talent why could/would they not develop their mid range niche market on their own fully understanding capital needs for perceived fast volume expansion and notoriality, sometimes you just grow a step /a bike at a time and use your own signature and its yours/your long term success. Good Luck.

Loved the series “Renegade” with Lamas but he is not the reason to buy a particular model of bike. His last TV show with his daughters was even worse that “Ma’s Roadhouse” or the continuing adventures of OCC.

Damn, Jeff!! Thought you vanished on us. I see this as another celebrity trying to act like a biker and cash in on people that don’t know any better.

My first impression of the Patriot was it reminded me of my bicycle when I was 10. What is up with that gas tank? It looks like it was an after thought. As if they had to get something ready for the photo shoot at the last minute. Am I right Jeff? Now, that Badlander is another story. That’s more my style (or lack of).

Check this out from the site. Spoke with Chad yesterday who said we’ll see at least 2 new production bikes from two more Trotta-caliber builders in 2011. I picked up one of their new aircleaners at the site. I’ve always dug Ralph’s work.

“Each year, Lorenzo Cycles will add to its stable of master builders. The Lorenzo Cycles Icon is a testament to the creative genius of Eddie Trotta.

We now introduce 2 new contributions from Ralph Randolph. This former US Marine and commercial airline pilot has the bloodline of multiple Pro Rodeo Hall Of Famers.

Ralph’s 124″ Lorenzo Cycles Patriot is a no-nonsense hot rod that represents the pinnacle of custom motorcycle handling and performance today.”

    Keep kicking ass, Lorenzo.

    Rick & Quint,

There you guys go again, trying to drag me into the fray aren’t you? Nope, not going to take the bait ….. I am way too busy and really not in the mood today to listen to all the limp dick keyboard commandos out there start with the “haters” carp the minute I voice an opinion. I will say this though: I, as well as many others, would like to see Lamas actually build a bike himself …. actually get his hands dirty and design and build a bike instead of writting a check to have someone else build the bike for him so he can have his name and picture attached to it …. but that is just me I suppose ?????

    Over & Out,

    Jeff

No, no it’s not just you. I totally agree. Now, get back to work. Actually building bikes.
