Fingerprint Security For Your Motorcycle

Designed by Hawk Systems Inc. BioKey is designed to replace the key used to unlock the electrical panel of a motorcycle. It also ignites the electrical panel to allow the end user to push the start button and start the bike.

Without his or her fingerprint, there is no electricity running to the bike’s components, thus no start capabilities. Can it be soon a system installed by manufacturers.

Beyond the first excitement and fun aspect of starting your bike with a pressure of your fingers, I guess that there is a lot more research and testing to do to make sure that the rough conditions that a motorcycle may encounter don’t affect the system, or a lot of headaches guaranteed. Still, Hawk Systems states that they are ready to launch their unique fingerprint security system during the second quarter of 2011. Paul Teutul Jr. is going to promote it by installing one on one of his new custom builds…BioKey

Sorry, wouldn’t buy anything from someone that refers to me as an “end user” LOL!

What was wrong with using a key to begin with?

I’m getting tired of the trend to constantly make our vehicles more complex. This just increases the chance of things going wrong.

It’s like the cars of today. They are so many electronic systems involved that it is really only a matter of time before one by one the systems start malfunctioning and things stop working.

Usually a large portion of these systems are controlled by one module and when one section of the module stops working you have to change the whole part. These body control modules are not cheap and usually cost more than a laptop.

    I prefer simplicity in design.

I just want the vehicle to work properly and to change the parts that should be changed at normal intervals.
Sometimes I get the feeling that this is too much to ask for!

Anyone here know which vehicles fit that discription?

Increases the chance of someone cutting your hand off.

Still can be bypassed ‘an started with a 2 foot hunk of jumper wire. Or if that don’t work throw the whole bike in a truck! These things only keep honest people from stealing your bike. Wiz
