Thanks to its line of ergonomically designed line of Air Cushioned Grips, Avon has attracted legion of bikers looking to make their rides more comfortable to their hands.
The company just released a new version of these popular grips called “Velvet” offering an even softer and increased vibration dampening feeling. These new grips offer the same air pockets inside of the grip body as the originals, but with a new “velvet like” surface.
They are made in the USA from Kraton polymer, and finished off with billet aluminum end caps and collars. Matching foot pegs and shift/break pegs are also available. Visit Avon Grips Online, or at the V-Twin Expo, booth 455.
Nice design, in 60 Days, Kuryakin will have almost the exact same ones, for less, of course!
Wouldn’t mind trying a set of these out. They look comfortable. I just wonder if they will work with my heated grip inserts?
Looks good.

The Avon grips are only $59 and the Kury Akyn grips are $79 I try and sell the American made Avon grips when ever I can.
RE: “Will they work with my heated grip inserts?” They will NOT. Avon’s use of double-sided tape makes the grip come loose and slide around when using heated grip inserts. Just completed a CA to TX run and my Avon Air Grips were comfortable for sure, but having to keep shoving the left grip back up the bar in the freezing rain every five miles sucked. Not sure if switching to a heavy grip glue will solve the problem because the “air pockets” inside the grip are essentially areas where the grip doesn’t contact the glue or the bar. Just FYI.
