Chrome, polish, sandblasting, anodizing, shiny black, matte black, black in contrast to polished aluminum, etc. You know that the motorcycle industry has its own trends for bike and parts styles, wheel sizes, colors and finishes. These parts are not motorcycle parts, but from BMX distributor SNAFU. I feature them to show you what are supposed to be the hot trendy colors for 2011 in the whole 2-wheel industry.
They are all anodized parts with a sandblasted finish in teal, purple, orange and black. Did you ask for something else than black? Will it catch up with the custom motorcycle industry? Don’t know for sure, but I will just tell you that these colors in matte finish are supposed to be right now the most appealing to our youngsters. Is the V-Twin industry strongly pursuing younger buyers? By the way, BMX parts have inspired many of our custom motorcycle builders…
For once I’m glad I’m not a “youngster,” and never have been much of a trend follower.
Welcome back to the 1990s.
Hey my son and I will be working on a custom bicycle project come spring, maybe we will look into these parts! Well probably not but I enjoy seeing matched colored parts that work together when building your customized bikes.
Trust me …. you will see these parts on some Bobber before the year is out!
Over & Out,
Jeff
Reminds me of the ” multicolored anodized aluminum ” picnic water pitcher and tumbler set I bought for my mother when I was a lad. LOL
A matte red frame would be cool
I like them…jeff is right,u will seen these kind of parts on bikes very soon.
Retro is in.
