The heart of the new Motus MST and MST-R motorcycles (Motus means motion in Latin) is the The KMV4, the world’s first direct injected V4 motorcycle engine. The Motus DI system uses a 2,000psi pump to inject digitally atomized fuel into each combustion chamber and is considered an improvement over port fuel injection in terms of emissions, engine longevity, power, and efficiency. durability. Durability testing and efficiency optimization are now underway at the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Changes and tweaking are being made. Let’s continue to support this American Sport Tourer. First track testing video.

On one side we have Confederate who turn CAD drawings straight into production bikes with zero product development or testing, on the other we have Motus.
One will be a major motorcycle manufacturer in 5 years and the other will be a forgotten blip in history.
My money is on Motus.
Cool.
Pull some G’s.
All you can get.
Very nice sound!!! It seems it’s a great engine!!
I wish the best to Motus!!

I thought this looked like a winner on the previous post Cyril. This drives it home – driving and sounding very sweet!!!
Cheers,
John
Congrats guys on American ingenuity, drive and distiction.
Cool, just a matter of time before all mainstream engines are direct injection, long overdue & free HP. Sounds great.
I’m going to start saving my pennies now! Take your times boys….make it right.
And yes, it sounds awesome!
Yup, I could do that, still got sum Balls left! Sweet sound! Wiz

Good luck guys!
Brian,
best of luck to you, bike looks and sounds great!
“The Motus DI system uses a 2,000psi pump to inject digitally atomized fuel. . . ”
Does “digitally atomized” mean that the fuel droplets are cube shaped? 🙂
Tenaya. Why? Digital means square???
dig·it·al/ˈdijitl/
Adjective: Relating to or using signals or information represented by discrete values (digits) of a physical quantity, such as voltage or magnetic polarization, to represent arithmetic numbers or approximations to numbers from a continuum of logical expressions and variables: “digital TV”
Very nice machine indeed! Sounds strong too.
I had the pleasure of visiting the Barber Motorsports Park and Museum last summer, a great track and an extraordinary collection of hundreds of bikes (and even a few cars) on display… a must-visit for any fan of bikes of all types and vintage.
AWESOME ! ! ! ! Hope its not a “boutique” bike that starts at $45-65 K Anyone know what dealer will carry them ?
Tenaya, the fuel comes out in 1s and 0s 😉 If I can be of further help, ask away. I’m glad they didn’t mention the “voice coil” technology used in newer DI engines, or “somebody” would ask if the injectors yell, “GET OUT” at the gas 🙂
Sue, BLAWBULLA, WHAT!! Yer WAY over my head with whatever you jus’ said! I ain’t got a clue! Wiz
it’s a shame it doesn’t say H D on it’s side . looks like these guys are serious . show me more .
