Pickup Driver Tries To Kill Motorcyclist

A couple of sportbike riders enjoy a Sunday ride in Bracken County, Kentucky. One of them is passing a slow moving red F-150 truck. Yes, to do this he crosses a double yellow line. But the worst part is the truck driver, as retaliation, trying to swerve sharply on his left to run the biker off the road. Then a 5-minute chase. Finally the lead motorcyclist stops and there is a verbal confrontation between the 2 bikers and the truck driver armed with a pipe who states that he can drive the way he wants because he grew up on these roads! One of the bikers call police but apparently no officer will ever shows up.

One more reason to have a CHL ….. when this Redneck jumped out of the truck with the pipe in his hand I would have tapped him three (3) times with the ol’ 45 acp …. twice in the chest and once in his friggin forehead. When the cops showed up I would have given them my DL, CHL and the video and said…..”Officer, I was in fear for my life!” End of story, his dumb ass is paid for !

    Jeff…Amen Brother

That’s why we ride packing between the seat & tank (exposed). Plus we have Billy Beer for these redneck interbred pieces of trash combined with the Okefenokee Swamp Gators down in here GA. Nuff said.

  4. 4 Jason May 28th, 2011 at 8:57 am

The guy on the bike should be charged with reckless driving for crossing a double yellow line and the cocksucker in the truck should be charged with attempted manslaughter and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon (one with the truck and one with the pipe). Two wrongs don’t make a right but that idiot in the truck would have has his ass whooped if that would have been me and any of my friends, especially since I had that shit on video.

  5. 5 Rider May 28th, 2011 at 9:58 am

They’re all 3 wrong and a bunch of jerks in their own right. A woman rider near me was recently hurt because of impatient sportbike riders crowding in on her and causing her to hit a guardrail. The truck driver should have stayed in his lane and let the sport riders go by but I understand his being sick of obnoxious sport riders. Maybe all 3 could best be served with a little suspended license time.

The guy in the truck could have scared the other two guys off, if when he piled out of his truck wielding a stick of pipe, well a wise man would have started in with your “Charles Manson” dancing, you see. Then eaten an onion, which would have given him the bad breath tool……. but Nooooo…. he had to wait around for the cops to haul him and his ATV away.

Bloke in the truck is an asshole. But fair play, he can’t half pedal that truck at a fair rate of knots!

  8. 8 jspfc May 28th, 2011 at 12:17 pm

I’m really surprised he did not kill someone else in the oncoming lane. If this guys license is not pulled there is really something wrong with our legal system.

  9. 9 chopperfreak29 May 28th, 2011 at 2:01 pm

I guess I’m not tough guy enough to want to “double tap” somebody for being an asshole.LOL Jeff how cheezy can you be?? Passing on the double line is pretty douchey but trying to kill the guy for doing it is way over the line no matter what the situation. Besides you never know if it’s the super tough ninja assassin marksman Jeff Nicklus and his ol’ 45 acp driving. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….

  10. 10 just my opinion May 28th, 2011 at 2:49 pm

I travel all over this country and unfortunately there are assholes like this everywhere. The problem is when the cops do show up they usually don’t do anything to stop this kind of behavior. I personally don’t think killing this asshole is the answer but an extreme ass whipping would have gone a long ways towards stopping this from happening again. Those two bike riders could have easily over powered that asshole and handed him the beating of a lifetime. Then he would have had plenty of time while in the hospital to think about what placed him there and whether or not he wanted a return trip in the future for doing this sort of thing again.

Jeff; I am not sure what the laws of Texas are but where I live the law says to use deadly force there must be two things that occurs First “you must be in fear of losing your life” which this bike rider could easily claim being the tape shows the truck driver clearly trying to run his friend off the road. And second You have to be in immediate danger” the asshole steps out of the truck holding a pipe.
    BOOM justifiable Homicide.
In my state you could have gotten away with killing that ass-wipe but a beating would have been much more fun and leaving him in a pile on the side of a country road is more closely what he deserved for this crime. A few days in the local hospital would have done miracles for his attitude. And besides if you just beat him senseless and leave there is no paper work to fill out later at the police station.

  11. 11 Jeff Nicklus May 28th, 2011 at 4:16 pm

Same legal requirements as here in Texas.

The problem with giving the Redneck an ass whipping is that the butt wipe is still alive when you are done so then he is able to get his second cousin on his mother’s side, the lawyer, to seek compensation for his medical bills, loss of time on his job at the local lumber yard etc. Shoot the worthless bastard and none of that applies. Besides he was committing a felony by attempting to kill the first biker passing …. paid for under Texas law.

Have to get back to work now ….attending the South Texas Biker Jam here in Houston …. after all someone has to work to support all those Obama supporters on welfare out there! Holiday weekend …. Right!

I once was going to market a “Motorcycle Marble Game”. It consisted of about six 1″ steel ball bearings in a leather handlebar pouch with a Velcro flap. It included instructions for various simple marble games to cover the legal aspect for carryin’ it, but we all know what they were meant for! Get in front of the asshole, chuck a marble in the air, ‘n WHAM, no more windshield! Old spark plugs work good too! Wiz

Not gonna lie, there are stereotypes about all bikers, those for cruiser type bikes & those for sports bikes. I have seen tons of idiots on sports bikes doing stupid things like taking off from stop lights doing wheelies in the middle of traffic & like these guys, constantly trying to go 180 MPH, then they pass in no passing zone or get behind people & rev the hell out of their bike & yes, sports bikes can be pretty loud too, it’s not just Harleys.

That being said, people in cars do some moronic things. My wife & I were riding from Green Bay Wisconsin to Minneapolis Minnesota. I don’t know if I just a bit to close to the center line or what, but we were in the right lane. Some car come flying up in the left lane past me, swerves to his right, gets very very close to me & then speeds up again & gives me the finger. I chased for a short while, but knew my wife was behind me on her bike & wasn’t going to speed up to keep up with me.

Time for the Get Back Whip

While throwing the pickup driver an ass beating would have been somewhat satisfying, I totally agree with Jeff that he should just be deceased. That way not only can he not try this nonsense again, but he can’t breed any more morons to take his place.

  21. 21 Mike Infanzon May 29th, 2011 at 9:57 am

Hey Jeff and others – no CCW needed in Arizona any longer. Always has been an open carry state. Lots of idiots that tailgate here until they notice the pistol on your left hip. (non-throttle hand 🙂

Wiz – I have that game! The little packets of rock the landscapers throw on your driveway work too.

    Have a safe weekend all

  23. 23 Cybersurfingalien May 29th, 2011 at 12:25 pm

Not very good sport bikers if they couldn’t out run him.

  24. 24 bobbster May 29th, 2011 at 8:20 pm

For starters I couldn’t care less if a guy on a bike crosses a double yellow line whiling passing me….what the hell does that have to do with any thing.

I’d definitely like to know more about this case as I cannot imagine that the dude on the passing bike isn’t going to follow up on this, after all the pickup idiot really did try to kill him….it’s not like he only halfheartedly attempted to hit the biker, he really put his fucking back into. The biker has the attempted manslaughter on tape so one would think that it will be a slam dunk open and shut case. I mean, would you just chalk that one up to experience?

As I said I’d like to know more about where and when that happened…I’d like to know who the pickup truck idiot is and if gets jail time.

  25. 25 badams May 29th, 2011 at 11:06 pm

    Its really simple.

    1. Bike passes truck, truck swerves and tries to kill biker.
    2. Biker after passing reaching in his jacket, pulls out a handful of roofing nails and pennies, tosses them over shoulder.
    3. Truck runs over nails, pennies hit windshield.
    4. Rider keeps going and enjoys his day….

  26. 26 Warior Poet May 30th, 2011 at 9:55 am

Jeff, aren’t you the same guy who would have pulled his gun out and shot Gabrielle Gifford’s shooter? In a crowd of people? You must be a damned good shot. Maybe the SEALS could use you. As an anchor. Remind me not to do any business in your part of Texas.

And Badams, what kind of special assclown are you? You wanna just nails on the road for the next biker to run over, or are you gonna go back and police them up when you’re finished “enjoying your day?”

The guy in the truck certainly deserves to be thrown a beating. I don’t think either of you fellows are quite up to the task. Not if you fight the way you think.

  27. 27 cooldaddy51 May 30th, 2011 at 3:10 pm

I thought I was the only one that carried ball bearings on a ride! Back in the day , circa late 70’s
I was on my Norton Interstate flat out (about a buck fifteen back then ) being chased by a sumabitch in a jag. I feared for my life, but calmly reached into pocket in my jacket and grabbed a half dozen ball bearings which I tossed over my shoulder. ( I kept them there for repairs)From what I could see was windshield damage and guard rail collision. He stopped I kept going. Plate on my bike was big English plate. Try to find that sucha! Shortly after I reg’d my bike at DMV. AaaaH those were the good times to remember .

  28. 28 Dave May 30th, 2011 at 5:00 pm

I reckon I understand what you crotchers are saying….”We have every right to be assholes, but you don’t”

This ain’t got nothing to do with neither of these two assholes, but just a comment about them nice comments about Rednecks.

Why don’t you bring all your bearings, tacks and pennies and meet me and Bubba out by the pond and we’ll discuss it.. We won’t bring nothing but our tire thumpers.

Now don’t go bringing them pea shooters unless you want she should bring our ought sixes and double twelves along.

  29. 29 Dave Blevins May 30th, 2011 at 8:05 pm

This appears to be a FAKE video to me…
A very little inspection of this “real video” shows a quick front and rear view of the near miss (this means a camera had be filming in front of, and behind, the red truck at the time). At no time however, can the front view cameraman be seen by the cyclist in the rear, meaning the scene required 2 seperate takes, commonly done in cheap action movies. And of course the driver of the truck could simply have run over the biker when they finally stopped, or just hit the brakes and cracked up the rider in the rear. Bullshit!
This whole thing was staged and very poorly acted. Everyone in this video should be arrested for reckless endangerment and dangerous driving as it does appear to take place on public roads… all this nonsense for the sake of making a viral video.
Kentucky is my home state, and this video does not justice for bikers or any other motorists.

    @ warior poet:
Total respect to riders and the road; while I have seen what I commented on rather than done it, it did show effective in LA traffic when all measure of defensive riding failed. Not sure if you live in Socal/ LA based on that comment, but there are over 24M cars and trucks in the Southland. Road rage was invented here. A couple of pennies to get the madman off your back on the 405 isnt going to affect other riders.

    Warrior Poet,

Yes, as a matter of fact I am an excellent shot. FYI: As a matter of fact I am very, very proficient tactically with all firearms as well as many other weapons, I should add.

Reminder: …”Remind me not to do any business in your part of Texas.” There, you have been reminded. My best advice to you is to stay in the Dallas area where you belong and mow your yards or edit your videos or whatever else it is that you do and leave the rest to us Texans, with the balls, to resist crime and criminals.

One more thing: Please stop sending me emails “snitching” on my son, Conrad, for comments he makes on this blog …. Grow up!

Dude, you need to get out of Canada ASAP … you are starting to sound like a sissy!

    Have a nice day.

all of this because a bike passed a vehicle on a double yellow? Everyone calm the fuck down and let the bikes be on their way, regardless if they are HDs or sportbikes.*

    Two outcomes:

    Innocent deaths

Ok, go on your way and in under 3 seconds & I’ll continue to soak up the KY scene

Throwing debris at a cager behind you will probably leave some of that debris for the next biker, so BAD idea.

*by the way: passing on a double yellow with a well-tuned HD, Victory, etc. or sportbike is very easy on a road like the one in the vid, so no one should fault the riders in this example.

  37. 37 bobber77 May 31st, 2011 at 2:04 pm

  42. 42 Warrior Poet May 31st, 2011 at 5:59 pm

    Jeff Nicklus,
    Are you really that ignorant?
I’m not even going to respond to your idiotic response regarding my employment.
Balls to resist crime and criminals? (I doubt you’ve even seen yours in a while) Again, you have no idea who I am or what I do. Tell you what though, the next time you’re in Dallas I’ll get us in the Dallas DPD shoothouse, or any other local range. Your tough guy .45 against my Para Hi-Cap. Combat match, no IDPA BS. We’ll do a stress shoot. You know, get the heart rate going a little by doing some sprints between targets. Don’t worry, I can have paramedics standing by for you.
At least you’d be doing more than standing around hoping someone would talk to you, like you did at the Fairless show this year.

As for your son, haven’t heard much from the boy since my last PUBLIC post to him. Do you really think I have spent any time thinking about him? What a narcissist you must be. I neither know nor care to know your email address. I will tell you this though: You make any more untrue statements like that in a public forum I will see you in a courtroom. I don’t even care if Cyril deletes your statement. Screen grabs are wonderful, aren’t they?

Don’t forget, dude. YOU are the one who would have been the “hero” in Arizona, puling a .45 and shooting it in a crowd of people. That’s why guys like you do whatever it is you do, and guys like me do what we do.

Oh , and you really should apologize to anyone who really does mow lawns or edit videos for a living. Sounds like an honest days’ work if you ask me.

  46. 46 Jeff Nicklus Jun 1st, 2011 at 10:42 am

    Warrior Poet,

    First comment to you:

After reading your response to my comments I went back and reviewed the email I mentioned in my earlier post. It seems that I was wrong in who sent the email to me. The email was received by me on April 11, 2011 and was a comment made by one “Greg Lange” and sent to me from an email address that starts with “onhold2007@—–.com. If you doubt my word regarding the receipt of this email or its authenticity, then I will be happy to forward you the email for your review. As I have always said and as I try and live my life by, when I am wrong I will be the first to admit it and apologize for any harm I may have done. Therefore, please accept my most sincere apology for any harm I may have caused you due to my misstatement.

Secondly: I would be honored to shot competitively with you, however, why use a match grade pistol? Let’s use a real world concealed carry pistols. In the real world I would not likely clear a house with a match grade pistol, nor would you, so your suggestion of using that weapon is useless. I will be happy to use my little ol’ Commander against any “real world” weapon you may chose. Also, if you are in my neighborhood anytime soon I have the Montgomery County Sheriffs Dept shooting range less than ½ mile down the street …. I can get access to that range. One last thing: Don’t let my “girth” fool you!

Third: You stated: …..”Jeff, aren’t you the same guy who would have pulled his gun out and shot Gabrielle Gifford’s shooter? In a crowd of people?”……

First, you make it sound like I would have just fired arbitrarily into a crowd of people in an attempt to hit the shooter …. What crap! Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth of the matter is, if I had been at the meeting or within range of the meeting, which neither you nor I were, I would have reacted to stop the shooter. By reacting I do not mean hiding behind the nearest cover and pulling my cell phone out and calling 911, after all when you only have seconds to live law enforcement is only minutes away. I would have gotten into the game as soon as I could have and IF the opportunity presented itself I would have taken the shot. Someone had to stop the carnage and just maybe if someone in the crowd would have reacted with return fire a 9 year old girl might be alive today …. Who knows? Also, I shot a 45acp for several reasons, it is a slow moving, heavy projectile and when using high expansion ammo does not necessarily “blow through” a body, that my friend is stopping power….not to mention the “Big Bang” effect of the weapon. On the flip side of the coin a 9mm is a small weighted hypersonic round that will require, in many cases, several shots to bring a perp down and in most cases the round will exit the body. I know, I know before you say it, almost every police dept issues the 9mm to the rank and file, however, if you actually look at what that same rank and file actually carry on duty and off, you will find the 40 & 45 cal are their weapons of choice.

Fifth: At Rick’s little gathering I had one person at the event order a new bike from one of our dealers after the show and I sold two rolling chassis assemblies at the event, so I wasn’t quite as lonely as you might suggest.

Anyway, enough of all this chest pounding. Again, I apologize for my earlier misstatements concerning the email.

    Over & Out,

  47. 47 Hoghaulers Jun 1st, 2011 at 8:04 pm

Dave Blevins hit the nail on the head. There is a brief shot of the bike passing the truck from the FRONT! That also tells me that this whole thing was staged. They should ALL be charged with being a public menace. The truck almost had a head on with another motorcycle that appears to just be another motorist.

  48. 48 PA Roadwarrior Jun 1st, 2011 at 8:44 pm

    Hoghaulers —

Take a closer look. You can see the ATV in all three shots, which means you’re looking at the back of the truck. The first shot is the bike passing the truck, the second shot is the pass in REVERSE (the video is played backward), the third shot is the video playing forward with bike passing the truck again.

Hey Jeff , watch out I believe ‘ol Warrior Poet has got a crush on you. The sportbikers are stupid. So what ?, that in nobodys’ universe justifies a blatant, deliberate attempt to run down a biker with a truck. 51. 51 Nathan Jun 3rd, 2011 at 11:10 pm

    Hoghaulers and Dave Belvins

The video rewinds the original pass by the bike to emphasize and refresh our memory of what just happened. It is no different than any one of us rewinding a video to better realize what transpired, only in this case the video does it for us.
