I know I’m biased (cos I love my Sportsters) but shouldn’t they be giving away a Harley 45? same as used in the movie?
Just imagine it … “There you go Sir, just remember its hand shift, left foot clutch and just the 3 gears”
    and watch them ride off!!
and no I haven’t ridden one either unfortunately (not even the one I was offered for £300 way back when – guess I was stupid even then!!)

Nearly half the country cant enter the contest. Great news if you live in the states that can. Thats it! I’m switching to Sprite.

Sportster Mike: They didn’t use a 45 in the movie, it was a dressed up Crossbones(from what i hear). I own a 45 and a sportster so I’m doubly biased, they’re both incredible. They’re probably giving away a sporty because it’s the direct 4 cam descendant of the 45 and, of course, because it’s the lowest priced harley on the market.lol I think the real problem with giving away a 45 would be explaining to people that it’s kickstart-only, 6-volt and linkert equipped. The shifting situation can be explained if they manage to get it running.LOL Which, if you think about it, is hilarious because the 45 wl’s were considered girl’s bikes for years. If thousands of raw army recruits right off the farm and millions of girls and women all learned to ride on one of these then how hard can it really be? Mine is chopped with true suicide shift and I took a couple rips around my neighborhood the first couple times I went out then headed for the downtown city core for a real trial by fire and i was just fine.

    @ chopperfreak29

Still want to ride one… one day – but they are going for £8000-£12000 now here in England
Yes, thousands produced and left here after the war..still see the odd bobber but considered too slow by most people
The Warsaw Harley club (in Poland) started their club in the 60s (under Communist rule) with some of them – now THAT was hardcore..
