The Gulf War (August, 1990 – February, 1991), commonly referred as Desert Storm, in response to Iraq’s invasion and annexation of the State of Kuwait, is the inspiration behind this new model by Royal Enfield to be launched first in India. It’s just a cosmetic variation of the Classic 500 cc with the same 5-speed gearbox and foot shifting. If the beige war dress works well with buyers, you can expect soon the olive green version..

Sold one.
While extremely cool, I don’t think I could buy one of these, it’s like the new Suzuki TU250X – which has great styling, but but a tiny, anemic motor and other features common to a 4k motorcycle. I looked hard at RE, but the 500cc motor is purported to chuck out less power than my ’78 honda 550. I’d rather have the 550. Of course, my old Honda is covered in grease, rust, and leaks in the driveway – but I wouldn’t have an underpowered machine any other way.

Nice old school look.
Nice retro look. Obviously not engineered for speed.
Bet it’s a good seller to the right market.
Royal Enfield should build a new 900-1000cc air cooled vertical twin ‘Interceptor’.
18 wire wheels front and back. Quality parts. Than they’d have something for the NA market.
*( the front wheel on the 500cc Bullet doesn’t look right because it is too small, very surprised the designers made that mistake as the rest of the design looks good.)
