US Harley-Davidson Dealer Inventories Too Low? The investment firm Robert W. Baird & Co. reports that new Harley-Davidson motorcycles inventory has never been so low in 10 years. Protecting Harley brand value was one of the objectives announced and repeated by Harley-Davidson President. The survey was made among 50 dealers with 86% of them stating that new models supply is too low or about right. A low inventory supports prices and often makes a Harley more desirable to a potential buyer who may accelerate his buying decision.

Riding With Your Dog Is Animal Cruelty? During 6 1/2 years a certain biker in new Jersey named Szatmari used to ride with his dog Bosco placed front of him. Not amused, police stopped him and took him to court for animal cruelty! Bosco the dog learned to ride this way on tractor trailers and was comfortable riding any motorcycle in this position. After taking a lawyer, the litigation was settled and Szatmari is now working on a fixture to carry 3 dogs on the back seat. Because transporting a dog behind you is not animal cruelty but in front it is?

Not cruelty, but maybe animal endangerment. Dogs have little grip and have to rely on balance to stay on a bike. Fine when straight and easy, but fast braking or aggressive avoidance could send my best friend flying. The dog wears a harness. He loves to ride and is a lot quieter than the old lady.

Services and parts installment on Harley-Davidson was always the challenging part. People tend to accessorize their cars in order to improve over all appearance which turned out to be a problem on the inventory.

From top to bottom, First off HD Corporation does not give a shit about the life and love of riding Motorcycles. Their only concern is that People are able and want to buy and need to be employed so they can be some what credit worthy! The less worthy the State Max in Finance rate! PEOPLE buy from any other Manufacturer, preferably American! “Get Over IT People” The HD Stock Symbol is what is important to Company. I think that when I have seen a Motorcyclist riding with a Pet standing or half standing on a Gas Tank, I believe that Person a flat out Moron and having no respect for his Pet. sort of like a Person riding without a Helmet and having his Passenger ride without wearing a Helmet. I don’t want to see another Fricken Law, but a little more sense! Third and last Terry Rymer, best of Luck on your New Investment, I hope you bought in with Sweat Equity, not real do$$ars!

Terry Rymer, perhaps you can fix your policy of Oil changes during the rally. I was 1600 miles from home and pulled in for an oil change into your tent setup behind the dealership. Only to be told NO oil change because I have an S&S motor on my Road King. WTF Terry get your act together as part owner more than you did as General Manager. An Oil drain plug on my HD oil pan and filter on my HD mount are Harley products. I’m not asking to have the engine overhauled.
