Looking For Gifts from $ 175,000 To $ 8,500,000?

As you can imagine, all day long I receive solicitations for publication. From the polite “I submit this for your consideration” to the arrogant “Tell me when you are going to publish my info”, it goes from the most interesting to the weirdest piece of public relation anyone can receive, most often in English, but also in Japanese, Russian & Chinese! (for these 3 last languages, guess what, you are automatically turned down.)

My job being also to entertain you, below is a solicitation for publication I received from a company called Project Dreamport. Their concept? Achieving your impossible dreams while helping others. Practically they propose dream gift packages in the range of $175,000 to $8,500,000 with 20% of your purchase price going to charity. And one of them is related to motorcycles…

Looking for a very special gift for yourself or somebody very special in your life? As example they propose, for a modest $175,000 package: His and Her Custom Made TRON LIGHTCYCLES or TRON Car as seen in TRON LEGACY + a TRON custom made outfit + a Legacy Theatrical 1-sheet theatrical poster +  a Custom TRON themed party, complete with party planners and gift bags + a limited edition TRON pinball machine + an original TRON arcade game machine. Are you dreaming, yet?  Read below the received press release from Project Dreamport.

“Cyril. Have you ever wanted to zip around town on your own, custom-built, his-and-her Xenon lightcycles, inspired by Tron: Legacy? And what would it be without custom his-and-her leathers? If that doesn’t suit your fancy, then how about living like Indiana Jones or James Bond? Project Dreamport is now offering all those experiences and others, giving people the chance to realize their impossible dreams—while giving back. These gift packages are not for the faint of heart, nor the weak of wallet with prices starting at $175,000, but each one promises the experience of a lifetime. Plus, each includes a sizeable donation to various charities. Let me know what further information and photos you’d like for your story, including an interview with the founder. Thanks!” Martin Stein. Senior Account Executive. Social Radius. Cell: 702-285-2873

If I had that kind of cabbage, I’d rather blow 50G building one myself and then donate 125G directly to charities. But that’s just my inner philanthropist talking

By the way…. on their website, the TRON project is not $175,000…. it’s $750,000… Yep, you read correctly. $750,000. Their indiana Jones package is $2.75 million.

Crack is Wack…. Just saying. Don’t do drugs Martin Stein, stay in school kiddo.
