Polaris Reports Record 2011 Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results

Just after Harley-Davidson, Polaris Industries announced its 4th quarter 2011 and full year results, and they are excellent. As you know, Polaris designs, engineers, manufactures and markets ioff-road vehicles (ORVs), including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and the Polaris RANGER® side-by-side vehicles, snowmobiles, the Victory motorcycles and on-road electric/hybrid powered vehicles.

Fourth quarter 2011 earnings per diluted share increased 15% to a record $0.90 with sales increasing 26% from the year earlier period to a record $782.0 million. Full year 2011 earnings per diluted share increased 50% to a record $3.20 with record sales of $2,656.9 million, an increase of 33% from the 2010 full year. All product lines experienced increased sales and market share for the full year 2011. International sales increased 43% in the fourth quarter 2011 and 39% for full year 2011 despite a volatile European economic environment.

“Our top and bottom-line expansion, and the momentum we are sustaining throughout our business, directly results from our focus on driving innovation, enhancing our product offering, reducing costs, and growth through new global markets and adjacencies,” stated Scott Wine, Polaris’ Chief Executive Officer.  “Specifically, during the year we furthered our leading market share position in off-road vehicles while continuing to gain market share in motorcycles and snowmobiles”

Below, a breakdown of Polaris Industries by product line sales. You will notice the amazing results of the On Road/Victory Motorcycles… (+69% 4th quarter 2011, + 79% for the 12-month period ending December 31, 2012.

Excellente info ça fait plaisir de voir une nouvelle marque de moto faire d’aussi bon chiffre. En espérant que cela continue pour eux.

Rode a victory a few weeks ago .. very nice bike; solid contender. They are also doing some serious advertising.. though a drop in the bucket compared to current HD sales… as @chingon says… they are in HD’s rear view mirror .. and .. the real thing. Fast forward two years , and when the Indian brand is in full swing…. things will continue to get interesting…

Now… I need to quit procrastinating and go buy some damned Stock 🙂

Rick. Advertising? Victory, please get rid of this old Gunny not funny. Terrible acting. Doesn’t fit with the brand and young bikers.

    Donny .

I will agree with you but the ad isn’t real characteristic of the Gunny. If the gunny were true to his ability the boy would have been in tears or Peed his pants or both.

But admit its a better ad than a bike pulling the doors off of dog cages to dempnstrate a bikes power or bad hinges

Maybe in India the Harley “may pull “the gates off of The cow pen project and set them free. LOL

They are definitely on the march forward…. and the more people ride them, (Victorys) the more they will sell. My neighbor just traded in his Ultra for a new Vision..! Let’s all hope they take very careful steps with Indian so as not to undue all the good work done by the boys in Kings Mountain…
