An enclosed primary cover is the biggest, most visible piece of motorcycle architecture on the left side of your touring bike and the new one introduced in 2007 by Harley-Davidson on its 6-speed tourer models is particularly bland. Two good reasons to upgrade and replace it. Combining form and function, BAKER”s Bully Primary Cover is not only much more pleasing to the eyes but adds both a motor sprocket and inspection cover (opening customization possibilities) and what Baker calls the Bell Housing around the clutch to break up the large mushy surface area of the stock unit.
The Bully Primary Cover Features all parts machined from 6061-T6 billet, is a direct bolt-on in place of the stock outer primary cover, Clears all stock dimensionally equivalent clutches, chain tensioners and compensating sprockets. Polished stainless steel fasteners are standard. Inspection Cover design for use with Attitude Manual Chain Adjuster Kit. Stock fitting derby covers will bolt right up to the Bell Housing. Bully Derby Cover available for stock, 1999-later 5 hole derby cover, Big Twin models. Motor sprocket and Bell Housing bolts to outer primary plate with blind threaded holes, no leaks. I use a lot of BAKER products and am very happy with all of them. I did have an opportunity to see this primary cover while at the V-Twin Expo and have to say it is impressive and well made. That is what I expect from BAKER and they definitely did it again.
I’m with Rogue on both counts. Baker rocks!
