I have respect for JJ. But a Ford 32, alone, in a month? Hmmm

  2. 2 Shifter Apr 8th, 2012 at 3:31 pm

    Will watch.

  3. 3 PanMan Apr 8th, 2012 at 3:32 pm

Love Ford 32. Impatient to see what was done.

  4. 4 Patrick Semery Apr 8th, 2012 at 3:35 pm

60 minute tv show minus commercials time, it’s about 40 minutes maxi for the show itself. To show the restoration in this time is impossible. So is it the beginning of a series?

  5. 5 Sollis Apr 8th, 2012 at 3:59 pm

Nice fabrication skills on verbal part of course lol,

  6. 6 Rodent Apr 8th, 2012 at 5:33 pm

    I’d rather watch “Pawn Stars”

  7. 7 Mark Apr 8th, 2012 at 6:45 pm

I dunno… I watched JJ on “Sons of Guns” and it was pretty pathetic.

The guy that owns Red Jacket is obviously borderline retarded…. to see JJ talking about him as if he’s a real good guy who knows his stuff made my skin crawl.

I *think* I could tell JJ was doing a “WTF!” when he saw the retard with a f-in palm sander trying to “round off” the edges on the grip that came off the CNC machine.

Watching JJ praise the guy was like watching him praise Teutul Sr. Just painful to watch.

It illustrated for me that JJ is pretty far removed from “keeping it real” these days. So it will just be another BS fake TV show full of false deadlines, trumped-up emergencies and fake drama.

    No thanks.

  8. 8 Kemper Apr 8th, 2012 at 6:49 pm

I understand it’s not only Jesse but Austin Speed Shop. Will watch to see how these guys work.

  9. 9 Zooyork Apr 8th, 2012 at 6:52 pm

Cyril, is it a one time show or a series starting tomorrow? Will TIVO.

  10. 10 Mark Apr 8th, 2012 at 8:12 pm

    Also,

    Here’s a prediction for you…

Ratings on American Chopper are dropping – nobody really cares about OCC and Senior – that is evident from the build off where he was pretty much booed incessantly.

Now Jr is getting into building cars. And so is Jesse.

    Hmmmm….

How long before American Chopper becomes American Hot Rod II – JJ vs PJ.

It’s coming – you heard it here first.

Any of you have any ideas how this shows are made ? Guys at the shop would work for weeks maybe moths plus over time over time , then film crew arrives and films for day or two and would make 30 minutes to an 1 hour episode by staging things around to made look like guys making part at the moment but real part already is made weeks ago and waiting for final shot . Then staged and scripted episode gets aired you all watch at home then after show you all go online and fight over stupid fake shit and JJ seats back and laughs at you and collect pay check

  12. 12 UnknownRider Apr 8th, 2012 at 9:24 pm

JJ smart move either way it goes CaChing $$$$$$$$ JJ isn’t a idiot and he knows what TV want’s maybe not his wifes but TV at least. People will watch this as far as occ why are they still on the air I thought they were gone years ago. Same old lame scripted bs there at least JJ has fabrication skills and make everypart not just order iout of a catalog (jr, sr).

  13. 13 Wiz Apr 9th, 2012 at 3:58 am

Jesse’s OK in my book! Some of these chumps comments makes me want to kick sum little whiners [who haven’t accomplished crap in thier life] butts! Good, Bad, or Indifferent, at least he didn’t bow down and become a slave to public opinion! He follows his Heart, ‘an sumtimes other parts of his anatomy! Yuk-Yuk!!! Wiz

  14. 14 Rick Lossner Apr 9th, 2012 at 6:49 am

Met Jesse a few years back in person….. he’s the real deal and capable of manipulating more than just the keys on a keyboard , unlike many of his naysayers… looking forward to seeing if this show is his next home run.

Back in Tx.. away from the BS west coast scene… can only be a positive..haha

  15. 15 Gary Henley Apr 9th, 2012 at 7:05 am

Jessie can build but other than that how many ways can you spell LOOSER

  16. 16 Brandon Apr 9th, 2012 at 7:08 am

To Gary Henley. A looser is a loser who can’t spell “loser”. So, you are the loser.

  17. 17 Oldude Apr 9th, 2012 at 7:33 am

Won’t change my TV viewing schedule !

  18. 18 Rick Lossner Apr 9th, 2012 at 8:11 am

@gary … do you feel like a dumb ass or what? Too funny.. but.. you made my/our Monday 🙂

  19. 19 Tom Apr 9th, 2012 at 9:35 am

    Not much for tv….

  20. 20 Gary Henley Apr 9th, 2012 at 9:38 am

How about you taking a big bite out of the fatty part of my ass and chock on this looser

  21. 21 Austin Weiss Apr 9th, 2012 at 10:42 am

Stoked to watch it. True talent at its best…

  22. 22 Eric Maurer Apr 9th, 2012 at 1:16 pm

holy crap… come on Gary…. tell us you are just yanking out chains, you mispelled Jesse, loser and choke in 2 posts….. I can only imagine you are just effin with us right?

  23. 23 Eric Maurer Apr 9th, 2012 at 1:17 pm

I’m watching it…. I watch anything about cars and motorcycles…. except Vincetta Garage, I just don’t get that show.

  24. 24 Hugh G Apr 9th, 2012 at 4:01 pm

I knew Jesse was up to something by going on the Apprentice and then agreeing to a build-off with OCC. The guy is a major sellout trying to do anything he can to stay relevant. Cheating on multiple wives is right in line with his tough guy image, and now he gets ANOTHER tv show. Great, just great. Let me guess… the show will consist of a lot of critical deadlines his crew must meet, and there will be 1 or 2 morons on the crew that Jesse will have to fire. Maybe he’ll do it boardroom style like Trump did to him LOL.

This show will suck and be off the air after one season. Stay tuned for another reality show where Jesse goes out on dates with multiple girls to finally find “the one”. It will be titled Jesses Search For His Soulmate and appear on Lifetime TV.

  25. 25 Oldernowiser Apr 9th, 2012 at 4:54 pm

I got a new build going myself. What I don’t have is a TV network to foot the bill. I’ll be in the garage…….

  26. 26 Smittydog Apr 9th, 2012 at 7:12 pm

Hope Jesse is back for good.

  27. 27 ROBERT Apr 9th, 2012 at 7:52 pm

I LOVE CARS AND ANYTHING THAT IS BUILD FROM BOTTOM TO TOP. BUT I WILL NOT NOW OR EVER WATCH ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH JESSE JAMES. HE WAS GREAT ON TV WITH HIS SHOWS BUT I LOST ALL RESPECT FOR HIM ON WHAT HE DOES TO WOMEN.

  28. 28 MDSPHOTO Apr 9th, 2012 at 8:42 pm

So the guy who decided to chuck all of the fame and fortune of WCC and Discovery TV and move to Austin and just be a regular guy building bikes and cars out of the public eye has yet another TV show. Pleasssssse!

  29. 29 bigitch Apr 10th, 2012 at 2:19 am

saw the show. for those who missed it it went like this:

    hi! i’m jesse james .

i got real big anger issues.

i’m going to use this T.V. format as therapy.

  30. 30 Zooyork Apr 10th, 2012 at 6:51 am

Watched the show. As a TV show I think it was a good one. JJ succeeds again at promoting himself and his Austin Speed Shop. All builders would love to do same.

  31. 31 Ray Apr 10th, 2012 at 6:52 am

We know it’s TV, edited, etc…but I also think it was pretty good.

  32. 32 Donna Apr 10th, 2012 at 6:52 am

    Good TV.

  33. 33 Patrick Semery Apr 10th, 2012 at 6:55 am

JJ doing his thing and doing it well in a scripted environment. But better than OCC.

  34. 34 Drake Apr 10th, 2012 at 6:59 am

Bob, Jesse’s partner did a good job as “supporting actor” Bet that people will now want to visit Austin Speed Shop and that the shop will get a few new clients. Good deal for JJ and Discovery. Next?

  35. 35 Heavy Metal Apr 10th, 2012 at 11:37 am

Austin Speed Shop was doing well before Jesse. I would have liked more shots of work being done instead of the other lame B.S. that seems to go along with reality shows no matter who’s show it is.

  36. 36 Rider2 Apr 10th, 2012 at 6:32 pm

I watched the show last nite…. pretty boring.
So what, they can build a 32 Roadster in 30 days? A lot of shops can and that car wasn’t even hot.
Sounded like all those guys wanted was to please Jesse and build him a car or they would get fired.

I am not sure who is going to watch this but again… people are watching a bunch of guys fishing crabs or going through storage units so why not.

  37. 37 Lambo Apr 10th, 2012 at 6:32 pm

It sucked – the only thing JJ did was build a windshield & headlight knuckles – his team dd the car – all he did is point his fingers at what he wanted done & threaten to fire them. Then he says “they have to perform because this is a car for Jessie James” – WTF, now he refers to himself in the third person. Still the dick head he was and continues to be. I will not watch this crap again.

  38. 38 HMD Apr 10th, 2012 at 9:29 pm

Caught a bit of the show… after hearing the guys repeat they were afraid to embarrass or make Jesse look like an idiot I turned it off.

  39. 39 Eric Maurer Apr 10th, 2012 at 10:24 pm

I watched it. I liked it, it was good fictional TV.
I cannot help but to notice how overly scripted it all felt (duh)… firing someone (sorry shop MGR, someone had to go I guess), and how Bob Bleed made it feel like you had to make JJ happy or else! Bob is a crazy talented builder in his own right, so I am not sure why the theme of the show was about making Jesse happy and not showcasing Bob and Austin Speed Shops talents.

Regardless, I watched end to end and thought it was well worth the ZERO dollars I spent to tune in 🙂

  40. 40 Luis Apr 11th, 2012 at 9:13 am

It was interesting to see Jesse come fully circle with this hot rod shop considering he used to work for Boyd Coddington.

  41. 41 MDK Apr 11th, 2012 at 12:31 pm

Didn’t like it as I really want to see fabrication not b.s. which is why I quit watching OCC in their first season. I love the previous shows with Jesse so maybe it will evolve into a good do it yourself show for builders. Save the drama for daytime soaps.

  42. 42 tejasandre Apr 11th, 2012 at 2:17 pm

@ MDK, dont count on it.

  43. 43 Hugh G Apr 11th, 2012 at 6:07 pm

Awesome show. I loved the pit bulls running around the shop, the employee getting let go at the beginning, the one neck tattoo guy not showing up for work, and the insanely tight deadline which created a lot of drama. The only thing missing was Jesse shooting a machine gun at something, but I’m sure that is in the script for one of the upcoming shows.

  44. 44 nicker Apr 11th, 2012 at 10:00 pm

Scratch building is good entertainment for any true gear-head, regardless of what’s being built or who’s building it.

Drama is for Beer-morons. The two are mutually exclusive.

  46. 46 Georgia Boy Apr 12th, 2012 at 7:40 am

    Gary too funny

Hope you get a show, I would definately tune in.

compose a grammatically correct letter in 30 days or else….

  47. 47 Steve the producer Johann Apr 13th, 2012 at 4:25 pm

Soon as JJ comes up here, Cyril’s blog gets the highest comment ranking. JJ sure does stir up the ire of all parties concerned, second only to the OCC crew. Funny how JJ and OCC crowds run together.

Makes for great grist for the mill. I’ll make a point to chat about it on the show.

  48. 48 Rick Apr 14th, 2012 at 11:18 am

On build shows, the moment when they’re going to start up the car or bike is always my favorite. All that hard work comes down to that one moment. Unfortunately, after watching this show, I really couldn’t have cared less whether the car started or not. I think it’s because the show doesn’t feature anyone that I can relate to enough to want them to succeed. I won’t be watching any more episodes.

  49. 49 Mazz BMHS Bike Klub Canada's Only Chopper Class Apr 16th, 2012 at 6:56 am

I guess Discovery Canada opted out of this show, looked for it, couldn’t find it.

  50. 50 Mike Apr 16th, 2012 at 8:50 am

Jesse James is an excellent fabricator. Being a former troubled youth he drives himself and others to make things that are quite special. He has plenty of connections to people with more money than they need so he certainly can sell jobs to keep a series going. Maybe six or seven hot rods taking 4,000 to 6,000 man hours a year to build. Since Boyd Coddington (American Hot Rod) has died there is a place for a show with a four to six week builds of various forms of street rods. Other similar programs on Spike TV take such a long time to finish their projects that program segments are viewed over a year merging various jobs.

Jesse understands that the market for custom choppers requiring 500 to 800 hours to build has been flooded. So many people have gone into parts assembly bikes like American Chopper that today you can’t make money by building true custom bikes. I have owned motorcycles most of my life. I have a unfinished project bike in my garage too. Unless your a 1% motorcyclist the fun only lasts for a few years. Someday getting back into the wind will motivate me to finish it. So choppers are in vogue then out of favor.

As far as the Jesse hater’s who because what he did to America’s sweetheart they can’t get over it. These power couples as often as not breakup because their reason for marrying was a commercial decision in the first place. After long term separation the bad boy went astray. Proving he was a regular working class guy. Look at our military the divorce rate is so high people are marrying three or four times seeking out a spouse just like their last one. Hater’s why not find someone else to hate. Nobody make’s you watch any TV channel. If you clowns can watch Khloe and Lamar that should keep you busy during the viewing time of Austin Speed Shop.

  53. 53 johnnyvhally Apr 25th, 2012 at 5:03 pm

    Hey Jesse,
Great show can’t wait for episode # two.
    Hey lambo your name fits!!!

  54. 54 Levi Dodson Jun 20th, 2012 at 5:18 pm

Hey Jessie I have no idea if you reads these or not, but brother I am a 66 year old man, and for more years than I want to remember I have been a true biker with out colors. I think you have more talent in your butt than most these so called builders could ever have. You are a true man of metal and machines. You build it all with Love and Passion. Not the good old $$$$ sign like most do. My brother if I ever get the chance again , at my age of course, I promise you I will swing by and see you on my way to Phoenix to visit my brother. Keep up the great work and let people see the artist in you and use the English wheel some more, OK?? See you Pal

  55. 55 Jeremy Oct 4th, 2012 at 10:21 pm

I have met him. He is pretty cool. My little bro went to school with his daughter Sunny at the Waldorf school.
