Inaugural Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally. July 26-29, 2012

After the disappearance of so many shows and rallies, nice to hear about a new one. One of the men behind the first Iowa annual rally is no other than Jay Allen, creator of the World’s Biggest Biker Bar, The Broken Spoke Saloon. Last Spring, Jay created Jay Allen Productions, a rally production company that includes multi-media film projects. At the invitation of the Iowa Speedway, he will help develop the rally at the champion motorsports venue at the Iowa Speedway just outside Des Moines, Iowa.

The rally will include a car show and bike shows sponsored by leading brands and personalities in the industry, major headliner music acts, motorcycle related entertainment, an honorary military event, motorcycle drag races and rodeos, celebrity meet and greets, sportbike and touring events, stunt riders, a swap meet, great camping amenities, and, of course, adventures unique to the Jay Allen brand. Chaz Allen, Mayor of Newton, IA, also expressed his enthusiasm for the newly announced rally and not only because he himself is an avid rider. “We are accustomed to several, high-profile race weekends every year out at Iowa Speedway. To now have what is sure to be one of Iowa’s top motorcycle rallies, in our back yard, speaks volumes for our community and will surely give Newton another economical boost.”

Iowa Speedway Chairman, Conrad Clement, has been riding to rallies for several years and enjoys the cultural authenticity and genuine passion for motorcycles behind Jay Allen’s personality driven brand.  “I have known Jay Allen for several years,” Clement said. “His ability to provide customers a top notch experience will be drawn upon as we gear up for the inaugural Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally.” Further details regarding the Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally to be announced.
