The Biker Belles™ charity event on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 during the 72nd Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will once again recognize the passion, diversity and spirit of women in motorcycling. Created to raise funds for local charities, the Biker Belles event brings women, their families and friends together to celebrate the role they play in shaping the culture, sport, art and history of motorcycling. This year, film and TV star Kristy Swanson will take part and ride in the event.
Following the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame Induction Breakfast in the historic town of Deadwood, the Biker Belles will kick off at 11am at the Lodge at Deadwood with registration, and events. Then, the group of riders will be departing from the Lodge at Deadwood for a spectacular ride lead by Ride Captain, and famed Motor Maids member Meg McDonough. After a scenic ride from Deadwood the group will travel to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip for a special party including food, beverage, shopping, fashion show, silent and live auction, and, entertainment by Iron Cowgirl Missy. The evening’s festivities will be highlighted with a headline concert in the Sturgis Buffalo Chip amphitheater.
Tickets for the 2012 Biker Belles celebration are available now at Biker Belles or by calling (605) 347-9000. Sturgis Buffalo Chip camping, concert and events information can be found on Buffalo Chip.
