You can follow the build on his website as it happens @ .

Shinya Kimura . My absolute # 1 Custom Bike builder ….. no matter what he choses to build . Also recently voted ‘ Most Influential Custom M/C builder for the 2010’s by the Euro press . You ought to see his bikes in person . They make the photos pale in comparison

As to the > Crocker < thing . Its my understanding there might be some controversy surrounding the company ? I've not heard anything personally , but brother theres some harsh words being said about Mr Schacht online of late .

    Any insights ? Anyone ?

    Guitar Slinger,
It is true that “things” are being said but by whom is the big question. All comments thus far have been anonymous as always, which is not unusual in the rumor mill. We agree the development of this company has been a long struggle but like all project of this nature, the proof is in the end product. There are those who have followed our adventure from the beginning, some of whom are of the most respected in the antique motorcycle world and there are others who have tried to derail our quest for reasons unknown to us. Either way, we are building great bikes with sound engineering, excellent quality, fine materials and proudly made in the USA. Like it or not, the Crocker Motorcycle Company is alive and develloping in its place of origin, Los Angeles. California.
To the many who support us, we are forever grateful and will continue to strive!

We are really excited to be premiering Michael Schacht’s new / reborn Crocker Motorcycle at this year’s LA Calendar Motorcycle Show. The bike looks, rides and feels like the legendary 1937 Crocker Motorcycle – but built with modern materials to even higher quality standards. It is an incredible bike and will certainly be the centerpiece of any vintage V-twin enthusiast’s collection – a bike that can be displayed for the icon that it is, as well as ridden hard and really enjoyed for the great bike the original was.

Come on, Jim Gianatsis. This new Crocker will never be legal on the road. So how can it be hard ridden.?
