Saving Abel was founded in the small town of Corinth, Mississippi in 2004 in the garage of a friend’s house during an impromptu jam section. The band got its name from the ancient biblical story of Cain and Abel where the phrase ‘There was no saving Abel,’ can be found. Saving Abel released their self-titled, major label CD in 2008 that featured the single “Addicted,” which rose to #2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs charts. The CD went on to receive Gold certification. Buffalo Chip campers and rally goers can look forward to Saving Abel playing their hit songs such as “18 Days”, “Drowning”, “Stupid Girl”, “Miss America” and “Bringing Down the Giant”. “Saving Abel is going to blow the Buffalo Chip crowd away,” says Rod Woodruff, owner of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Monday night will be unforgettable as Saving Abel, Loverboy and Journey blast hit after hit at the crowd”.
