Neck Tie To Dress Up Your Frame

One of the most popular add-ons for those building their bike from the ground up is to dress up the frame with decorative gusset pieces.

You can make yours or buy this “Neck Tie”, maybe do a little bit of grinding to perfectly fit your tubes angle, then weld it.

And if your bike is competing in bike shows it’s the little detail that can earn you an extra point on the judges’ score sheet. Sold $39.99 by the boys of Pandemonium Custom Choppers.

…my uni-bit works just fine for drilling out my own gussets.

On a side note, how do you know when a trend is played out….

Since when did speed holes become a Trend?
Speed holes are timeless and have been around since the beginning of the hot rod.

I kinda dig em – if you look at the OEM gussets on the XS650 Frame, you can see this is a MUCH cleaner look than just punching random holes in the OEM Gussets. I could spend 2-3 hours fabbing up the pieces, or just buy this kit and weld it up. No Brainer to me.

And I’m with Ki – Speed holes never go out of style…
