Mindy. Built For Extra Riding Fun.

You may wonder what makes a custom builder build this type of bike. But if you follow the work of Bryan Schimke at TPJ Customs you will realize that “Mindy” has a direct filiation with the more “classic” creations that the shop has built. Same very naked/bony bikes with a lot of one-off parts (but a minimum of them belonging to the assembly) machined to perfectly match this type of sanitary design. Bryan summarizes Mindy’s concept by stating that it is built to jump, slide through corners … and easily wheel out of them.

Although I didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy the ride, just looking at this machine is convincing enough that “Mindy” is providing a shot of extra fun that few other customs can provide. As the tech sheet demonstrates, it’s not a toy for adults, but a serious Buell powered machine featuring skilled fabrication and some of the best brands in the business. Just check out the tech sheet. TPJ Customs   (photography copyright Onno Wieringa for AMD World Championship, courtesy to Cyril Huze)

Excellant bike! & a big thanks to the readers here for not trashing it. Too bad Cyril didn’t get the pictures of him jumping it. We shortened up the CRF forks for him.

I’m a fan of Bryan’s work. Another great example of not following trends, but building original cool stuff that’s a thrill to ride. Well done.
