As a guy who was raised Catholic and also have been a long time shovelhead owner, I’ll point out the connection between the two. Both at church and while riding/kickstarting/wrenching on the shovel there’s a whole lot of “sit, stand, kneel”. One prepared me for the other.

Wise acreage aside, I love the way the colors and light here project sort of a modern rendition of earier art periods (Romantic?). And the sense of story taking place here, where the priests in the background are probably talking work stuff while this guy is really taking in the construction and beauty of this Pan.

Weird, really, really weird – Papal Biker Art. Whole new genre.
Is this a possible reaction to the impending threat from Indian? HD calling in the Pope?
    Billy Graham rode a Honda.

Another killer work of art by the Maestro. Wish I could be in Rome for part of the 110th, but at least I get to be in Milwaukee, where it all started. Thanks for this great painting David! I would love to see the Pope on a Harley…

Congrats Dave, talk with you when your back in town.

I too would love to be part of the Rome festivities. Maybe if I get the Pontif on the show for an interview, I can get an invite to be a part of next years event. Ha
