Second Edition Of Wheels And Waves. Great Images And Beautiful Friendship.

Two childhood friends share the same passion for motorcycles. They create a successful website with images of classic and custom motorcycles, meet other friends, create the “Southsiders” and organize in 2012 a first group ride called “Wheels & Waves”, destination Biarritz, the French capital of surfing. Why? Because motorcycling and surfing are about freedom… They produced a superb short video about their first group ride, the camaraderie on the road that I featured last year and that you enjoyed very much. From June 13 to 16 they rode again to Biarritz for the second edition of Wheels And Waves. This time a much larger group of individuals and at arrival a festival honoring the work of European and American artists. Another event, another interesting video about friends just being friends and having a good time sharing the same passion. .

    Great fun. I’m partial to the bike with raw forks and no headlight. Brought back fond memories of moon light rides on an otherwise pitch-black night.

    Fly over. This will be the first Mid-Cycle M/C buyer/seller Auction ever at Del Mar • Book the Hilton now, with confirmed reservations 2-days out. Bikers have been bumped to Mission Valley on occasion and their reservations “lost”. They did that to the guyz from the Shop in Ventura. Remember? Bummer man. Stay ahead of ’em.

    This was the second Wheels&Waves, but 5th Southsiders MC group ride. The excellent vibe and killer roads of southern France and the Pyrenees seemed a natural for a bigger event, and last year’s Wheels&Waves was great, and even better this year. There will be no W&W in 2014, the organizers need a break, but it will return in 2015, no doubt bigger still, due to all this publicity!
