Stupid Motorcycle Accident At Roar The Shore Event

Each July, thousands of bikers and bike enthusiasts descend on the city of Erie (Pennsylvania region) located along the shores of Lake Erie, to enjoy three days of rides, bands, bike contests, custom motorcycle shows and more. The event, called Roar On The Shore, was held last weekend without incident until last Saturday July 20 around midnight. A biker (trying to start a burnout at an interaction?) hit 2 pedestrians sending them flying in the air. Apparently, they got up and refused hospital treatment. Police have not said yet if any charges will be filed.

    A) Weekend warrior? B) Wanttabe? C) Fool? D) All, A,B,C. Why is it some would use poor judgement and do something as STOOOOPID as this to attract attention? To put the saftey of anyone, here: the general public, is foolish to say the least. It’s the “look at me” type of personality that most of us experienced and, or, older type of riders detest. I know that we see these types of individuals at most any bigger bike event: these are the fellows who walk around with the big cigar, chest stuck out, talking loud enoungh for anyone in the general area to hear what nonsense they are talking about. A person such as this back in the day was taught the error of their ways and it was done… so much for living in the past, me the caveman… damn I feel old. Tattooeddmike

In total agreement on the motorcycle rider being an idiot or at least not able to control his bike.

But why are all the people standing so far out in a working intersection? It looks like the cross traffic cagers are using that intersection to pass through when it’s there turn. geez…..

    In complete agreement with tattooeddmike……
What an Idiot, but we see him at every event and every run
There is one in almost every crowd.
Most of the time nobody gets hurt except themselves (which is also called natural selection)
but to take out bystanders / pedestrians is unbelieveably stupid & inexcusable….
He’s very, VERY lucky that somebody wheather they were hurt or not ,
didn’t decide to to take a BIG bite out of his insurance coverage (& it still might happen) !!!!

Looks like everything is just right to just go wrong. To much throttle and a fat painted slick white line, and some happy spectators to edge them on.

Humans do not have predators….so to help cull the herd, we have IGNORANCE.
Seriously when will people learn? Burn outs??? Really? who cares, all it does it wreck your bike.

I also enjoy the guys who get around other bikes & revs his pipes like he is impressing anyone.

I also enjoy the guys who rev their bike every time they down shift…..still never figured this one out.

    1. I certainly hope the two innocent people he ran into are o.k.

    2. I also certainly hope the people running toward the accident are doing so
to repeatedly kick that dumb f*ckers ass!

    3. Loud pipes and fancy paint does not a careful rider make.

    4. But officer, I was just trying to get through the intersection.
Really? WHACK…help me get him in the squad car.

  16. 16 Jusmecuz Jul 23rd, 2013 at 12:51 pm

I bet the first thing the stupid f*ck said was, “I don’t know what happened. My throttle just stuck wide open! The only thing I could do was to just to lay her down.”

Stupid f*ck better be glad he was at a public event and not a private property type rally.

Well said Rodent. I’m glad no one seems to have been seriously injured, so I was able laugh out loud at yor comment. You are a funny guy!

Nicker hit the nail right on the head! And you can not fix the impatient less caring…

  19. 19 KD Jul 24th, 2013 at 6:10 am

I’m with Darryl B on this one: the guy was an idiot but why in the hell were so many people clogging a working intersection??? Two stupid things combining to cause this incident.

Stupid hurts. Unfortunately it sometimes hurts others too.
