Tonight The Night. The All-New 2014 Indian Chief Revealed This Evening August 3 At 9 P.M. Mountain Time.

2014-Indian-Chief-CleanA little bit more than two years in the making, and after several months of marketing teasers, the all-new 2014 Indian Chief is going to be officially revealed to the public this evening August 3rd at 9 p.m. mountain time (party starts at 8 p.m.) at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall Of Fame.

I will be on location and should be able to upload the first pictures for you to see.  After I upload the pictures, tell me and all other readers what you think. Would Hendee and Hedstrom, the 2 men who started out Indian in 1901, be satisfied?

Come back here tonight  around midnight Mountain Time to be among the first to see the All-New 2014 Indian Chief by Polaris.

Be prepared to be let down.
I’m a big supporter of Victory/Polaris. But I don’t expect anything that hasn’t been done before.
Alot of people are expecting too much.

    I’m not !!!
I’m very excited to see what they came up with
Mr. Brew already let it slip in the previous article that they have designed a “fairing”
My hope was for a “bagger” type bike.
As I grow older I find that I have more “stuff”,
Then I only get 1 bag, as my significant other has more “Stuff'”
So the “bagger ” idea or they application to fit the asscessories on
to make it a bagger fits my needs for right now.
I held off on a Victory X-Country to wait & see what they came up with
I hope that keep the “lines” that made Indian unqiue
Man,i can wait to finally see this thing

They’ve got a big investment in this in many ways and I wish them all the best. A company employing Americans is worth rooting for.

    Blackmax,
I hope you are right. I am a bagger guy, always have been always will be. I need a windshield and hard bags. If I am going to spend the money, I need my bikes to be utilitarian, carry a few things and offer rain protection. I live in Seattle and the weather here is less than pleasant.

I’ve held off on a RoadKing to see what they come up with. When I wake up tomorrow I should know if it was worth it.

Ive been waiting for months to trade my Hawg in on a new INDIAN…… Ive been beside myself with anticipation…….. What a huge let down, when I saw the first photos of the bike sent to me via email from club members who watched the unveil………… Other then the different engine, it LOOKS just like the last generation of Indian Chief’s………. The things that made the Indian look like crap before HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED?………… What the fuck?…………..Its superposed to be a COMPLETE NEW BIKE, its not…….Looks like they used all the left over tins or used a bunch of rolling chassis left over and put their new looking engine in them. …… Guess I wont be buying a new Indian………….. As much as I hate to say it, The old Kawasaki Drifter looks more like and Indian the the Indian does!!!!!! …………….LET DOWN…. BIG LET DOWN……… The NEW INDIAN LOOKS LIKE THE SAME OLD POOP THAT IT WAS BEFORE………. Any hard core Indian lover will be really disappointed as I am……….. SAD….VERY VERY VERY SAD>>>>>>>> Maybe they should have used all the money spent in the Hype of the new indian and used it to hire a DESIGNER who KNOWS WHAT & WHY The Indian Is Loved So Much By So Many Motorcycle People………… WHAT A HUGE LET DOWN!!!!!!!!

I’m thinking HOME RUN…..The vintage is pretty fricking cool ….don’t much care for the buck Rodgers turn signals on the chieftain …but overall their version of the bat wing works for me ….they look like an Indian should …kudos!

Hey Gasser, lucky for you the local Harley dealer has a brand new Road King for you that looks unlike any motorcycle Harley ever has made. That’s the great thing about Harley, always on the cutting edge with new innovative designs that look nothing like their bikes of days gone by. Too bad Indian didn’t do what Harley does eh?

Nothing new just more of the same.
The Hard bagger fairing takes a bit of getting used to.
The rest just looks like an old Cheif
HD have the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s styling to call upon as well as the 30’s and 50’s
The Engine is the most interesting thing and it was released way back.
The negative advertising aimed at HD is childish
BUT they are probably worried this will take sales from Victory.
If you dont want an HD you probably already have a
    Victory
    BMW
    Triumph
    Honda
    Others !!!
Put a Kawasaki badge on it…lol
    I wish them well

Mack,The batwing fairing looks like a BMW 1200CL one to me and not very original in design.

A “shark tail”exhaust tip at $899? This appears on their website along with tickets to La-La Land accessory world in Second Life.

I’m gonna go out on a line here……I thinki it looks like a 2014 Indian….I guess its a frame of mind …but I’m trying to stay positive ….they iin my opinion ,don’t look Japanese……… and except for the goofy front turn signals on the chieftan, they don’t look like victory s………WE NEED Another american bike to kick the MOTOR COMPANY in the ass and wake them up……to me they look like they are offf to a pretty good start …….and yes it does look a little like the beamer …but at least not a victory
