New Screamin’ Eagle Burst Performance Air Cleaner Kit

Burst-air-cleanerThis new Harley-Davidson air cleaner kit (P/N 29000066, $369.95) combines high performance with hard-edged styling. The tuxedo black billet cover is machined to expose the satin-aluminum finish below, creating contrasting edges and light-enhancing patterns that are eye-catching alone or when combined with other Burst Collection, Edge Cut and gloss black accessory components.

A one-piece cast back plate with integral breather and mounting bracket promotes smooth, high-volume air flow into the throttle body through an exposed, reverse-cone washable-synthetic element. The complete kit includes Burst Collection trim, backing plate, air cleaner element, and all required installation hardware, and fits 2008-later Touring and Trike models with the Original Equipment 50mm throttle body. Installation requires ECM calibration (priced separately). Screamin’ Eagle Burst Performance Air Cleaner Kit from Harley-Davidson.

Got my first glimpse of the Burst Collection over at the Hells Canyon Rally in Eastern Oregon last month. High Desert HD had a Street Glide loaded up with the entire collection. I really like the look and quality of it. When I returned to Portland neither of the Portland dealers had any of it in yet. Ordered the speaker grills and absolutely love them. I will be adding a few other items as the money allows. HD got it right with the burst collection.

From an aftermarket standpoint, nothing special.
But for a product which bears the bar & shield, I say good job moco.

It’s nice, but its not Made in the USA. Sadly the MoCo is outsourcing more and more. Will spend my hard earned bucks on accessories made in the USA. If its not made in the USA, then I don’t need it on my bike.
