cyril-Huze-fast-news1328133US Motorcycle Sales Sharply Up in September. Only 1% For Year To Date. According to the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) September on-highway motorcycle sales jumped 16.1% versus same month last year for a total of 26,110 units. Year to date (September 30), motorcycle sales are up only 1% for a total of 274,578 sold units. Off-highway motorcycles surged,  up 9.4% to 55,802 units sold year-to-date. Dual motorcycle sales are up about 8% for the month and year-to-date. More than 25,000 dual sport motorcycles were sold through September 30t. ATV sales are steady year-over-year with a 0.9% increase to 164,321 units. Scooter sales declined, down 6.4% for September and down 16.7% year-to-date. The motorcycle segment, both including and excluding ATV’s, were up 0.9 percent year-to-date through Sept. 30. By the end of the third quarter of the year, 549,577 motorcycles and ATVs were sold.

Polaris Declared Regular Cash Dividend. Polaris Industries Inc. (PII) announced  a regular quarterly $0.42 per share cash dividend payable on December 16, 2013 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 2, 2013. Polaris 2012 annual sales were $3.2 billion.
