Exclusive Preview Of The World’s First 32” Wheel By Metalsport

Corleone32wheelIf you wondered if a company would up the ante, here is the answer. You are looking at the world’s first 32” motorcycle wheel to be officially introduced to dealers by Metalsport on February 8, 2014 at the Cincinnati V-Twin Expo.

The model featured here, named the “Corleone” is a collaboration with custom builder Matt Hotch. 2 other 32” models designed by Shannon Davidson and Andrew Rumley will also be unveiled.

And no worry about finding the 32” tire. Metalsport President Ron Loynds finalized negotiations with Vee Rubber Tires and got the exclusive rights to their 30″ and 32″ tires.

Vee Rubber Tires come in 26″, 30″ and NOW 32″ tall for the front and 310 and 360 mm wide for the rear. Metalsport, Inc. offers sizes to match all 25 VEE Rubber tire sizes.

In addition to offering many designs in replacement of the factory Harley-Davidson wheels, Metalsport has always been a pioneer for very tall front wheels and very wide rear (18 x 14”) motorcycle wheels. Both 32” wheel designs will be available in show quality luxurious chrome or black anodized with “machined in” contrasting designs. We chose Matt Hotch and Shannon Davidson as an integral part of our marketing efforts launching this new 32″ wheel due to their reputations and respect of their peers” says Ron Loynds, President of Metalsport, Inc.

A very practical and needed product. They will sell like hot cakes.

  2. 2 Brandon Jan 17th, 2014 at 9:57 am

    OMG

  3. 3 Shifter Jan 17th, 2014 at 10:01 am

Metalsport owns the bragging rights for the 32″. Must be a marketing ploy because I don’t see many installing a 32″, even a 30″. But good to make the brand being talked about …for selling Harley size replacement wheels.

  4. 4 HD Rider Jan 17th, 2014 at 11:55 am

    I guess I just don’t get it.

  5. 5 Mike Jan 17th, 2014 at 11:55 am

    What a silly fad.

  6. 6 cafesportytc Jan 17th, 2014 at 11:59 am

………………….. a long rake bagger with a trike conversion, then you have a big wheel. for all of us who just never grew up. lol not my cup of tea but I’m sure they’ll sell

  7. 7 Arie Jan 17th, 2014 at 12:49 pm

    Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!

  8. 8 Clark Kirkendall Jan 17th, 2014 at 1:22 pm

I Know this is just a fad, but having only one choice for a tire is quite lame. I have been in the Harley parts business for twenty years and having sold a few Vee Rubber tires, I can tell you that their quality is poor to say the least. Most of these wagon wheel baggers won’t be ridden like baggers are intended to be. They are just garage candy, but that keeps the industry going.

  9. 9 Doug Jan 17th, 2014 at 1:35 pm

kind of disappointing that Hotch is involved.

Are they going to make a bike with the 32″ on the front & a 360 on the back to see how off it looks ? Most importantly to see how bad it handles?

  10. 10 Donnie Respery Jan 17th, 2014 at 1:51 pm

It was also my reaction. How M. Hotch got involved in this. Something that can hurt his reputation, I think.

  11. 11 James just another crazy Kiwi Jan 17th, 2014 at 3:44 pm

Bring back the penny farthing…I’m assuming you had those in the USA ?

  12. 12 BobS Jan 17th, 2014 at 4:18 pm

Somebody please make a trike with one of these on the front and a couple Mini Cooper wheels on the back. THAT would be cool.

  13. 13 BadMonkeyMW Jan 17th, 2014 at 4:55 pm

    Clown shoes, that is all.

  14. 14 eric Jan 17th, 2014 at 6:58 pm

I am sure matt is not worried, he is going to make a least 100,000 on bike why all you just sit around and make negative comments.

  15. 15 Knucklehead on a Panhead Jan 17th, 2014 at 7:23 pm

Well……First off I would like to have a standing ovation with clapping (dripping with sarcasm) to Harley Davidson for farming out their product to a different country, while our beloved UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is struggling just to keep our electricity turned on and a pot of macaroni & cheese warm!!!

Knowing that the MAJORITY of the parts & labor on these fly by night “plastic” motorcycles will be made and assembled by foreigners at sweat shop wages is enough to make me puke up my spleen and want to kick Willie G. square in the nuts!!!

It used to be that HARLEY FUCKING DAVIDSON kept ALL their devices (including AMERICANS!) to produce a product second to none! NOW A DAYS…….HARDLEY-FAKESON is made and manufactured by a culture (China, Dominican Republic, Japan, etc etc etc) who doesn’t give TWO SHITS about the “brand name” Harley Davidson!!!

The next time (when you rub your remaining two (2) brain cells together) buy a motorcycle and/or parts……or ANYTHING for that matter!!! ASK YOURSELF…….Would YOU rather buy a product that was made by a AMERICAN who is/was being paid a HONEST WAGE and that same AMERICAN put AMERICAN PRIDE, AMERICAN BLOOD, AND AMERICAN SWEAT INTO A A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N ICON ONCE KNOWN AS HARLEY DAVIDSON!!!!!!!!!

    Let me guess……..

YOU would rather buy a CHEAP, CHROME COVERED PIECE OF PLASTIC made by a foreigner who was being paid 10 cents a hour and couldn’t care less about quality or reputation of HARLEY DAVIDSON?!?!?!?!

    That’s what I thought!!!

AMERICANS were INFAMOUS for our INNOVATIONS AND HARD FREAKING WORK FROM THE SWEAT OF OUR BROWS AND CALLOUSES ON OUR HANDS DURING THE AMERICAN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION!!!!!

    BUT NOW…………………..

WE ARE KNOWN FOR HIRING FOREIGNERS TO MAKE A 25 CENT (QUARTER) PRODUCT AND THEN BRINGING THAT SUB-STANDARD CHROME (cheap chrome at that!) PLATED PLASTIC (cheap plastic at that too!) AND SELLING THAT 25 CENT PRODUCT FOR TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($25)!!!!

    OH……….

That’s the AMERICAN way these days I guess!!!!

    sheesh!!!!

  16. 16 Jusmecuz Jan 17th, 2014 at 11:01 pm

I too didn’t expect to see Matt’s name associated with that headline. Damn…

  17. 17 Terence Tory Jan 17th, 2014 at 11:15 pm

Clark Kirkendall,I’d have to agree with you about Vee Rubber quality. If Metzeler or Avon get serious about wagon wheel tires, well wagon wheels may be a serious business.

If you are going to buy or build one of these monstrosities it would be a great advantage to be able to get quality tires in the future.

I’m sure there are clumps of plinths in Indian casinos nationwide chaffing at the bit to get one of these big wheel bikes on display and gathering dust.

  18. 18 Doug Jan 18th, 2014 at 1:34 am

@eric – boohoo. It’s called criticism, not negativity. The above Hotch comments can be argued to be positive considering how stupid those wheels make a bike look.

Are you saying Hotch is a sellout?

  19. 19 Heavy Metal Jan 18th, 2014 at 5:47 am

Where does it end in wheel diameter? I will hold out for the 36’s. makes just as much sense.

  20. 20 Wilhelm Jan 18th, 2014 at 7:13 am

    @Knucklehead on a Panhead

Why apologize for something essentially true?

  21. 21 RUB Jan 18th, 2014 at 7:56 am

will look great on my sportie ! front & rear …………………………..

  22. 22 Sheridan Jan 18th, 2014 at 10:24 am

You nailed it “Knucklehead on a Panhead”, unfortunately the way of the whole Western World. It seems we all would rather sell out our neighbours and brothers than pay an extra dollar for a litre (quart depending on where you are) of milk let alone anything else these days…

  23. 23 pokergolf420 Jan 18th, 2014 at 11:09 am

Can’t wait to get some for my tractor.

  24. 24 Homer Jan 18th, 2014 at 8:21 pm

I’m talking with Vee-rubber to corner the market on the new 36″-38″-40″……. The new trend will soon be wooden wagon wheels from 1890. Lol
This whole trend dumb…. Bbwwwhhhhaaaaaaaaa, lol

  25. 25 Eric Jan 18th, 2014 at 8:22 pm

Doug not saying Matt is a sell out but if some one is willing to pay for it why not build it . You can see the bike being built on his Instagram looks bad ass . The big wheel look will pass I am sure but until it’s helping to give my son lots of toys a atv and dirt bike.

  26. 26 Sharrack Jan 18th, 2014 at 10:08 pm

I’m not a big wheel bagger fan but i do give credit to many custom builders out here in Az who are producing their own parts and building incredible machines.
Lord knows there are thousands of cookie cutter HD bikes on our highways that all look the same.
    Funny……we had a Az builder with a 30″ front and a 30″rear boardtracker custom….2 yrs ago!

I guess big business has finally caught on! Lol…..

  27. 27 Fausto Jan 19th, 2014 at 9:17 am

Looks cool, too bad they don’t make a spoked version with a knobby tire, would be great for swamp riding!

  28. 28 takehikes Jan 20th, 2014 at 9:35 am

The good news is now my 1870’s Conestoga wagon will be able to have some real bling now…..

Will this never end? though I do admit I love the pictures of the “bad asses” that build these things….arms folded, grim look, soul patch, bandanna, leather vest…..virtually identical. Cracks me up.

  29. 29 Blackmax Jan 20th, 2014 at 11:36 am

    OMG !!!
Just like with the 300 series rear, Here we go again !!!!!

  30. 30 GD Jan 20th, 2014 at 1:37 pm

sorry to be ignorant but is this for the front or the back of the bike

  31. 31 Drake Jan 20th, 2014 at 1:40 pm

It’s for the front, but I guess some are going to do the 2 x 32″, not necessarily on a bagger.

  32. 32 Sharrack Jan 20th, 2014 at 7:51 pm

QUOTE- pictures of the “bad asses” that build these things….arms folded, grim look, soul patch, bandanna, leather vest…..virtually identical. Cracks me up.

Lol……this is 90% percent of the biker world !

The bagger crew are usually flat brimmed ballcaps, converse sneakers, square frame sunglasses white or black and baggy dickies.

  33. 33 Bud Jan 21st, 2014 at 8:16 am

Enough is enough. I can’t wait till this fad dies and running a 16 will be bad ass.

  34. 34 takehikes Jan 21st, 2014 at 11:33 am

Wow I just realized I need to build something with a 32″ up front and a 360 out back……it would be awesome in its stupidity. I could earn title king of douche’s!

  35. 35 Ax Jan 26th, 2014 at 1:17 pm

What’ll they think of next? Air Conditioning? A cab? Four wheels?
19-21″ wheel on the front, nothing but a classic, good-looking 16″ on the back. Period.
And no tires wider than 150mm.
