They were so popular when released in limited edition that you even complained in “comments” that you could not get one. To mark their 55th Anniversary in 2013, S&S Cycle created this special Black Super E and Super G Shorty carburetors with a distinctive black satin Enduraguard® coating (heat and chemical resistant)In addition to cool cosmetics, these carbs had enlarged venturis for up to 7% more flow. Just a little something extra…like an amp that goes to 11. The S&S Anniversary carbs were used to set three land speed records last year, so knows they work. Proven Performance®!
The black carbs proved to be so popular that S&S has decided to continue to offer them in their product line-up. So if you didn’t get one last year, you won’t have to wait for the S&S 110th Anniversary for another chance. They are not offered as a complete kit( Manifold and Air Cleaner Kit sold separately) but as a carburetor only. That gives you complete freedom to work this carb into any custom or racing application. To order, call 866-244-2673. More info at S&S Black Carburetors.
Have to show to the wifey. My B-Day is coming…
Black sells…
My bike is all black, except the carb. I have to correct this.
Can we get a black manifold from S&S?
Fitting an S&S Black carb and manifold to my current ground up project bike which look super cool. S&S rocks!
That probably doesn’t make the people who thought there were only 55 of them made very happy.
I thought the same thing phil..

The 55th Anniversary carbs are still special!
The Anniversary carbs had unique serial numbers which would end in one of the following 55TE, 55TG, or 55EE. A typical serial number would be P42/55EE The current production black carbs just have the regular serial numbers just like any other carb. They will start with “R” which designates production in fiscal 2014 and a five digit number. Like R00042.
So if someone tries to pass off one of the current carbs off as a commemorative 55th anniversary carb, you now have the facts to debunk them!
Thanks for the info Bruce.
i have 5 of the limited editions carbs ….yes with the special #’s and they wore a better deal , than the one they are selling now….i just got one of they are selling now, yesterday and put on my bike this morning, i would be out tuning if it was not 17 degrees. the limited was a better price….i paid $420.. for them, and that comes with manifold ( black) flanges all hardware and hoses, 420 bucks and they will be a collectors item, i hope…….the one they sell now ARE NOT the special limited edition…….and they cost 400 bucks with just cable towers and jets…………wish i would have gotten more of the limited edition…..was a very good price, also wish they would have put a gloss black air cleaner cover with kit to match carb and manifold…..cant wait to see hoe the improvement in flow works
