CARB is a bunch of uneducated political appointees who don’t know nothing. A California joke!

rodent…If it were not for CARB,LA would look like tokyo.

it’s funny to think that a biker will buy or do something to his bike to comply with an emission law or a law in general. People who make the laws are fucking criminals themselves.

Richard is correct. CARB is a necessary evil for Southern California where air pollutions still takes an average of 3 years off of one’s life. Although I think Richard means Beijing as Tokyo, Japan is quite clean.

Rodent’s sentiment, although inaccurate, is understandable in that modified motorcycles are so far down the list of polluting sources, that they are barely worth the time or regulation. Especially given that the EPA already requires new bikes to meet the same CARB requirements, and most bikers do not modify their emission devices.

The number one pollution source in the LA area? Idling cargo container ships and freight trains. Both of which, ironically, CARB has little regulation over. These are followed by old cars (over ten years old), and old two cycle lawn equipment. Everything else is just an afterthought.

These are far and away better breather kits than the competition if for nothing else other than the sturdy construction. Price is basically the same as the competition, and we now only sell these here at Samson V-Twin.

Best Breather kit on the market for the price, can not be beat!

Pollution regs have never hurt real companies like Porsche or BMW motorcycles. It has just made their products far superior to many others.Without pollution laws,L.A. could well be like Lagos or in the movie Blade Runner.Of course if L.A. had a fully functional, clean and pleasant to use public transport system like civilized places like European cities, well that would be civilized, huh? And clean air and stuff.

There is not one single problem with Kalifornia that can’t be fixed with a raise in the level of the ocean!!!

lawn equipment is one of the biggest pollution problems in America..unregulated and filthy emmissions…but then the senators and carb exec’s couldn’t get their lawn trimmed by their illegal alien workers..lol

CARB should take a look at the result of emissions testing bikes in AZ the last few years and then try justifying all the fines they have put against aftermarket companies. A well tuned and maintained motorcycle regardless of intake and exhaust will still meet there standards.

CALIFORNIA APPROVES ! No wonder citizens of Kalifornistan are fleeing to Az, Nevada and Texas !

CARB actually did ban the sale of two-stroke leaf blowers (and thank you to them, since I don’t have to feel like I’m at a motocross track on sunday mornings), but people keep the old ones running, so they’re still around.

I agree that CARB can be overreaching, overbearing shitheads, who spend way too much time regulating non-idling (because we lane split) motorcycles, but I am happy that LA’s air is less soupy than when I was a kid.

And if jackasses want to flee the state because of something that petty, they are welcome to go.
