In 2015 It Will Be Sturgis Rally 75th Anniversary. The Buffalo Chip Already Planning The Biker Party Of The Century. Passes Available Now.

BuffaloSturgis1BuffaloSturgis2In 2015, all the roads to the Sturgis Rally may end at the Buffalo Chip where the organization plans the party of the century from July 31st to August 9, 2015. The 2014 Motorcycle and Music Festival is still over 60 days out from seeing its first partier, yet the Buffalo Chip phones have been ringing for months with requests from guests eager to reserve 2015 Rally Passes. Today May 14, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip is opening the sales of passes for the 2015 Black Hills rally.

Those who attended the 50th anniversary celebration in 1990 will remember that attendance broke all records and the party broke the sound barrier. Even today, 24 years later, the success of each year’s Rally is measured against the 50th. Those who were fortunate enough to have attended the 50th better plan to be at the 75th, because chances are they won’t make it to the 100th.

Much like Haley’s Comet, milestone moments like the 75th anniversary only happen once in a lifetime. Coveted RV spots, VIP passes, private toilets, camper rentals, Top Shelf reservations and other exclusive amenities are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to reserve Sturgis Buffalo Chip passes for the 75th Anniversary Rally should call 605-347-9000 or visit Buffalo Chip.

Was there at the 50th.. Staters were on a rampage for loud pipes, year before it was handlebars, traffic was pure gridlock, all the good campspots were taken up by r.v.’s. Ahh yes, good memories…didn’t go back for 20 years until the 70th. More of the same, way different crowd, shitloads more r.v.’s, awesome camping prices, and tourists on main street in weird costumes…if you didn’t make it to Sturgis before 1989, you missed the real deal…sorry folks, park’s closed. Bet the 75th will break all records for r.v. attendance and tourists in weird costumes pushing strollers with their rugrats down main street. Remember when 4 wheels were not allowed in the campgrounds and campfires were allowed? Probably not.

Any more the big runs, in my opinion, are little more than rub/poser circle jerks. Too many clowns trailering their baggers. Not a big fan of the Full Throttle Saloon, either. I remember a fair amount of fatalities at the 50th(which I guess is to be expected with that kind of turnout). Wonder if the big wheel bagger thing will still be the “in” thing? I predict the next big fad will be seats with operational dildoes.

I Concur with the above opinions!

Skip the corporate party and go to an ABATE bike show or campout. It will cost you a lot less and you will have a better time.

I will be there and expect to have a Good Time No Matter What.
The ride out and back is always something I enjoy.

Don’t they advertise every year that it’s going to be the biker party of the century?

  9. 9 FDW1 May 15th, 2014 at 11:32 am

No, each year, they say “the best biker party anywhere”. Their slogan…

Maybe they’ll have a trailer show at the 75th. Enjoy your 15 buck “large beers” and the biggest poser parade in the history of the World.
