Not the typical motorcycle you expect from the Bavarian manufacturer. And a very good surprise regarding styling. Motorcycling is much more than just perfect function, and this BMW Concept Roadstar is very exciting to look at. It’s a typical BMW roadster with a powerful 1.170 cc 2-cylinder boxer engine putting out 125 hp. It features a single-sided swing arm with cardan drive and a light tubular space frame. It interprets these classic elements in the most state-of-the-art, dynamic form. The compact proportions with low front and high rear form a wedge-shaped silhouette around it, making the bike look very fast even when stationary. Congrats to the BMW design department. But no word if it be arriving anytime soon at a dealer near you.

Beautiful bike. But why if not produced by BMW.
Looks like the heads have been rotated 90 degrees downward . BMW’s version of the Ducati Streetfighter comes to mind
Looks like it was clobbered from behind by a large truck. Maybe with a 30″ front wheel…
Here is a bunch of pictures of bike

Ducati Monster……….BMW Munster……….Just a thought
This has to be the ugliest motorcycle ever conceived!
BMW currently produces the R nine T using the old air oil radial valve engine. This is a similar concept using the newer water cooled heads. multiplate oil batch clutch and integrated transmission. Thge way the R nine T is selling they are interested in continuing the line. As far as styling, it is nit intended to appeal to a broad base. It is original.

I like it, must be the Kraut in me.
@4bs, naw, that would be the Honda Pacific Coast.
@ Harold Mutter-
I’m with you and I typically don’t care for anything even remotely resembling a sportbike, styling wise.
That’s just plain cool….
Re heads rotated down, that is the new liquid-cooled boxer(aka water boxer, LC, etc). Nicely executed street fighter from the Beemer boys and girls. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if something like this showed up at the dealers.
Very odd looking thing to my eye, but knowing BMW it is most likely a very good motorcycle.
Hats off to the designers at BMW. Would love for you to keep me in the loop on when it comes out (hopefully without too many changes to its look).
