McQueen’s Machines

1mcqueensmachinesYou all love Steve McQueen’s on screen motorcycle stunts and wild car chases. But how much do you know about his passion for motoring, about his own machines and the races to which he participated?

There is much more to discover beyond the 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 fastback he drove in Bullitt and the Triumph motorcycle of The Great Escape.

McQueen’s Machines opens with a foreword written by Steve’s son Chad and is filled with photos from the family archives to show his collection of cars and motorcycles and explain his deep passion for collecting, driving and racing.

A beautiful book about a certifiable motorhead to please all gearheads. At time of publication, the edition is temporarily out of print but you can reserve your copy at McQueen’s Machines. (Father’s day is June 15…)

Thanks Cyril, this is definitely a cool book. Bought and read it a few years back, talks a lot about the man also and his relationship with some of the great ones in motorcycling. I really liked the pic of Steve, Malcom Smith and Mert taking a break “On Any Sunday”. The stuff from the “Great Escape” and all the friggin vehicles, Wow.
