cyril-Huze-fast-news2015 Harley-Davidson Lineup Will See The Return Of A Fully Updated Road Glide And The Introduction Of A New Trike Model. Absent in the 2014 model year lineup, the Harley-Davidson Road Glide is set to make a return as a 2015 model with important styling revisions. A very popular model with the Street Glide, the Road Glide is returning with a fairing still mounted on the frame (by opposition to the Street Glide where fairing is mounted on the forks), but fully redesigned with LED dual headlight and ergonomics to reduce helmet buffeting and “beard lift”. The new 2015 Road Glide will integrate many of the features introduced with the 2014 Harley Touring Rushmore models. A new trike with a more naked look and probably called “The Freewheeler” should also be unveiled. The 2015 full lineup will be introduced at the H-D Dealers meeting August 25-28.

The Ride To Indian And Victory 2015 Model Year Reveal Has Began. In 3 weeks, both brands are going to officially release their new models. As far as I know the news are going to be very exciting. Indian will deliver tiny bits of information on July 12, 19 and 27 with a reveal in Sturgis (and here in my website) August 2nd. Stay tuned for a summer full of news.

July Is The Cruelest Month For Motorcycle Riders. July had the most motorcycle accidents of any month in 2013 according to five years of data compiled by Progressive insurance. Ohio-based Progressive, the largest seller of motorcycle insurance, said the data also showed that Mondays had the most motorcycle claims and thefts of any day of the week. That may be because the incidents that took place over the weekend were not processed or reported until the start of the work week. Scott Hall, Progressive’s motorcycle product manager, said bikers should pay close attention to their surroundings to spot any potentially dangerous situations. “Particularly in heavily-wooded areas with animals and at intersections,” Hall said. “Be cognizant of riding in blind spots of cars and trucks since you’re so much lower to the ground,” he said.

Harley World Ride 2014 Racks up 10.5 Million Miles. Seeking freedom and adventure, thousands of globe-trotting motorcycle riders ditched the daily grind and hit the road during the Harley-Davidson™ World Ride on June 22-23. Riders from more than 75 countries participated in the World Ride, with the ten highest mileage totals coming from the United States, Canada, Brazil, India, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, and South Africa.

Harley-Davidson India Awarded Indo-American Trade Excellence Award For Plant Operation. The India plant assembles most of the Harley-Davidson lineups on sale in India and also manufactures the Street platform of motorcycles – something that has been key in keeping the cost of these motorcycles accessible to a larger group of Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. The Indian plant is the only facility outside the US where Harley-Davidson manufactures motorcycles.

“Spy” photos came out a few days ago. The Road Glide has a vent similar to what’s on the new batwing fairing.

Rumor is no Ultra RG (yet). Like the Streetglide, there will be two models – Standard and Special.

Regarding deaths on the road, cell phones are the deadliest things ever for motorcyclists.

Curious how HD will integrate the touch-screen into a RoadGlide. It’s about a three foot reach, not to mention the small screen will be further away, and even more difficult to read for their aging market.

In one of the spy shots it looks like the radio is mounted above the gauges, on the handlebar. If that’s the case, the radio would be closer to the rider than on the previous Road Glide.

As far as Indian is concerned, could this finally be the more affordable and smaller Scout model that everyone has been asking for? I hope so!!

Old snoot face is back. Too bad, the line-up was looking good without that homely windjammer.
