cyril-Huze-fast-newsIndian Motorcycle Daytona Beach To Become The New Tenant Of Former Harley-Davidson Store And Museum On Daytona Beach Street. A Daytona Indian Motorcycle dealership had operated out of a site farther north on Beach Street near Main Street, but that business closed a few days before this year’s Bike Week. The new Indian dealership – a company that has nothing to do with that closed business – will open in the 20-year-old 2 brick buildings, 2.7-acre property at 290 N. Beach St. where was located the former Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson operation, then Museum. The Indian Motorcycle dealership will be up and running this fall for Biketoberfest. The back building Cafe should also be re-opened.

Sturgis Porta-Potties. You never thought I Would write about Sturgis Porta-Potties. Nor me! Their placement is serious business. Nobody wants portable toilets abutting their property or on the spots rented to temporary merchants during the rally, especially food vendors. But everybody needs them. They must be installed on city right-of-way, never on privative property. Too many portable bathrooms lumped together could also impede access to emergency vehicles. So, there’s a little more thought that goes into it than randomly placing them. 150 potty stations have been placed downtown, and if you don’t find one close to where you need it, don’t bitch. You know now the reason why.
