Monday, August 4, 2014 at Hot Rod Lake behind the Broken Spoke Campground at 5:00 p.m. Cycle Source Magazine will be holding a memorial in honor of Ross Tomas. Ross, the 20 year old son of Mike and Carolyn Tomas, owners of Kiwi Indian Motorcycles, was killed in a motorcycle accident on July 22, 2014 in his hometown of Riverside California.
The family held a funeral and memorial service in California with his family and friends on July 31, 2014. Ross loved Sturgis, loved to make people laugh and always had a good time, please show your support and help us honor this young man by attending this memorial. A small reception will follow at the Broken Spoke. Mike and Carolyn will be attending this memorial for their son and would love for you to share your memories and stories of their amazing son. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in Ross’ name to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 602, Sturgis, SD 57785.
Also, Mike Tomas is planning a ‘Round The World Motorcycle Tour on his vintage Indian Motorcycle with his “Wingman” Greg Johnson. They are planning to kick-off this tour at Sturgis with their sponsors and a bike unveiling this Sunday, August 3rd at 9:00 a.m. This event is in the free access area in the crossroads section of the Buffalo Chip Campground. Mike and Carolyn will be attending this event as well as it will be a time of healing and time to be with their extended motorcycle family in Sturgis.
