Vintage Vibe For Your Evo Bike

EMDNow settled in the US, European independent parts manufacturer EMD just released the WTF line of engine rocker boxes to give your hard-working Evo 1340 Big Twin or Evo Sportster engine a retro style.

These cast aluminum covers bolt in place of your OEM rocker boxes and extend down to hide the lower box. As simple as that…

As seen below, the WTF Rocker Covers come in three styles: Shovel, Iron and XR. Finishes include, Raw, black, Black Cut and Semi-polished. Also displayed on this Sportster engine is a ribbed cast aluminum cam cover topper that helps set the engine off.

Interesting. Should sell to those who want to look old school with a modern bike.

    $240 is a good price.

If you check the EMD Facebook page you’ll find tons of great pics, drawings and parts etc.

I like the slab-side covers for the Sporty – looks a million times better that the stock stuff. Plus add the faux “shovel” heads and your bland old plonker may just pull a few selfies.

You can save yourself a ton of cash by using the these ‘add ons’ to a trusty HD Evo motor – in a custom rigid frame – versus the aftermarket Shovel-style motors that are now hugely expensive.

The real bonus is that it seems they have not gone all Roland Sands with the price < 250 – wow not bad at all.

They sell them separately too so you could mix it up a little and have a different look for each cylinder

Shovel looking Evo, now if only they would sound like a Shovel.
Would need cast iron barrels for that !!

I know some Shovel owners that wont like this lol

    Very Cool

$240 each, not a pair. Factor in postage and your over $500.

Always preferred Shovelheads but I would consider a reliable Evo with Shovel covers. Looks pretty good. $240 per head is still way cheaper then a hoola hoop front wheel and tire although I can’t imagine any Shovel owner doing that to his bike.

Trying to make something look like something it’s not. I never bought in to that concept. Posing.

I’m with skinny denny. If you want a shovel, get a shovel.

    What Skinny said….Why pretend?

the 750 boxes would be BAD A$$ on a XR1200. pull of the oil pump cover and pully cover and you got something that looks like its ready to race.. posing , yes, but just like some people love chrome….its all a matter of opinion.

They’ll go great with that fake kick pedal. Remember that?
