Picture Of The Week

Cheyenne-BikeGame Over Cycles, a custom shop in Poland, built this bike called “The Recidivist” to celebrate the art of tattoo. When I published it about one month ago, In your comments you gave it a lukewarm reception. Of course, the objective is to create the buzz about the shop. So, a girl straddling it, may also help. Right? But my first reaction when the shop representative emailed me this new picture was: why she doesn’t wear any tattoos?

Fugly ? Ludicrous ? Absurd ? Ridiculous ? Vulgar perhaps ? Utterly irrelevant ? Take your pick . Any or all would be an appropriate description of this hideous mess posing as a custom . And yeah …. why isn’t the girl wearing any tattoos when the whole point of this travesty is supposed to be the celebration of tattoos ? Maybe I’m being a bit cruel here but in light of this bike I’m thinking ‘ Game Over ‘ may be a very appropriate name for the company … as in an indication as to what its future may very well be 😉

    WTF?

maybe she does have a tat, only you’ll need to work a little harder than looking at her picture or buy her a couple of drinks before you’ll be allowed to see where she put it…

SHOULD HAVE LEFT THIS IDEA ON THE DRAWING BOARD ….

Would draw a crowd on Main Street Sturgis, so would the bike. Finally a hot girl without tats.

I like the irony of a clean-skinned model on a tattooed bike. These guys make some wild looking stuff, I say keep pushing that envelope.

Love the knuckle busters on the rear fender. I’ll bet there are some huge bikers and bouncers out there with big hands who can find these a perfect fit.

She didn’t want a tat for fear she’d match the bike? Very pretty lady.

This shop needs to go back to the drawing board, the bike has a few nice features but overshadowed by the hideous “paint/tattoo” theme. She is fine though.

will someone just stop this crap, please?

Cyril, Its quite amazing that slowly over the last few years the haters took over your blog! I never read anything positive here, definitely not from anyone valuable!..The bloggers that have had value or the real motorcycle industry figures have gone and we are left with crap! With reference to the above comments not a single comment on the guys work!…It might not be my style too but must appreciate the countless hours thats gone into it to do this. Pictures don’t really do justice to any motorcycle but the fact is that this bike was hand build by someone who decided to push the envelope quite far!…Like it or not its his decadence and respect to him!….Keep up the good work and go for it!!!

” If you can’t say something nice” my comment……………………………………………………………

CK – This may a case of “Don’t ask a question if you don’t want to hear the answer” or in your case; “Don’t read the comments if you don’t want to read any negative opinions.”

The comments pretty well tell whether the builder hit a home run or struck out. In this case I’d say the consensus was pretty clear. (But I think he did get an RBI for the choice of feminine adornment.)

Chopper Kulture I usually do compliment the fabrication skills on these horrid builds but its gotten to the point I don’t want to encourage them at all. This stuff is drivel built either for a contract or for someone with more money than good sense. As for us not being valuable you best tread careful. Lots of guys on here (like me) that made our chops before you were a gleam in your old man’s eye. OK?

Chopper Kulture does have a valid point
As I said many times before
“What is one man’s dessert is another man’s garbage”
I don’t blame or put down any individual’s work
(Companies / manufacturers yes, I’ll slam their stuff all day long)
It’s their right to individual expression just like it’s anyone’s right to get on this blog and
express their views (Yea or Nay) on said project.
If somebody, somewhere wants to step up to buy it, more power to them.
Now, this bike here, it’s not to my liking, but hey, I’m not going to buy it either
But any one (who has the cojones and the $$$) can go ahead & build what they want & how they want it .Then they can put on the best cycle industry blog in the world & suffer the “slings & arrows” !!!
(But I’d be more than willing to help out & take the model off your hands! LOL !!!!)

    Yeah, I don’t see a bike either!!!

If you can’t stand the comments stay out of the ….. you know. I reject the premise that someone is a ” hater ” if they don”t gush all over someones’ build. It’s all subjective. Most builders are thick skinned and understand that any art form is open to critique , they accept the risk of ridicule .
