Added 01/12/15 at 9.25 am. The marketing department of Pirelli/Metzeler just advised me of a delay in this tire availability. “The tire is not available now, and likely will not be for at least a few months. Right now the earliest we believe the product will be available is April but that is not 100%.”
I am surprised that Metzler got involved with a 26″ size. More for brand image than sales, I guess.
Late to the party
How much travel is left in that front end…..???
-nicker-
Better late than never. The 26″ tire will be around for awhile, and it’s great to have at least a couple of options to choose from.
love the Mr tires that’s what I use on my 21 and 16 inch rims I have no complaints love those tires
yep totally unridable and a waste of money.
Does that big wheel make getting the bike off of the trailer easier?
“Metzeler states that this 26” front tire offers ultra high-mileage” CUZ THESE GUYS PUT SOME MILES ON..LOL
The seat on the “touring” bike doesn’t look very comfortable for touring.
Front wheel is not big enough, and the color does not suit my chrome novelty helmet.
I currently an running a Metzler 888 on the front of my bike with a 23 inch front wheel. Though you can´t find those in the U.S. yet, rest assued they are on the way and worth the wait. I love mine!!!!
I guess better late than never to the party
And Im sure they’re DOT approved ? Right Metzler ?
and iam sure on a new bike you will keep your warranty !
Jack S or Curly obviously don’t know s___ .Maybe the jack s stands for jack s____. I’ve been running a 26 for 10,000 miles (bike has 30,000) on a 2011 so I ride it hard and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m glad Metzler jumped on board to give Vee Rubber some competition.
I ride a 26″ bagger 12,000 miles
A year so I do believe they are rideable.
You should build one before you run your mouth
