RC Components TRUFLO Air Cleaners. Filter Exposed. Breather Ports Hidden.

rc1RC2Difficult to beat these High velocity air cleaners to maximize the required air flow for your engine to breath deeply and be performant. The almost fully exposed K&N filter means business, becomes a major design element and is encased in a billet aluminum housing. The low profile TRUFLO air cleaners are designed to stay close to the motor to avoid leg interference. Hidden breather ports are machined into the backing plate, eliminating the need for unsightly brackets and hoses. All 4 designs available in chrome or black. At RC Components.

Time to abandon the round shape for something more original.

Greeko – round stuff are generally cheaper to make. Some argue it also performs better – specifically as other shapes may have wasteful dead spots that just add to cost.

All these “open ended” intakes are cool looking, but as a tall person I ask, where must my right knee go? Sure, you can pull it away hanging half way into the middle of nowhere (inner legs cramps an all), but somewhere in a moment of lapsed concentration it is going to block the flow.

For tall folks – put an open filter at the end of a forward facing branch; or just use a more conventional layout (it can actually also work well).
