Nostalgia Jeep Chief Concept

jeepchiefBeing a “young” (?) baby-boomer, I fell in love at first glance with this Jeep Chief Concept inspired by the full-size, 1970’s era Cherokee. This post to illustrate that the vintage, classic, Old School, Neo-Retro trend (and whatever name you give it) is far from over. From motorcycles to clothing to furniture and to everything. And if you want to know more on this new vintage styled ocean blue Jeep, it features a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with six-speed manual transmission, a two-inch lift kit with Fox shocks, cropped doors and windshield, a custom razor grille taken from the original Wagoneer, removable sides, chromes front and rear bumpers, and 17-inch slotted mag wheels. But when will it be available?

Stick a Hemi SRT motor in it, and I’ll line up for one

Yeah … its kind of cool looking … in a very ‘ hipster ‘ pastiche kind of way . Too bad A) It’ll never see the light of a production line …. and B) If it did … it’d fall apart before your very eyes like everything else JEEP has made over the last 20 years 😉

The new Cherokee that JEEP fans were actually hoping for. Too bad it will never see the light of day though. Jeep stopped making off road vehicles almost a decade ago.

    Oh, don’t know about that.
Had an AMC Eagle 4×4 wagon for many years. Jeep running gear.
Pulled like a tractor, effortless vacuum operated transfer case, rode like a sedan, 25 MPG like clockwork with almost 200K mile on the clock. Was the best handling car i had ever driven in the snow.

We have owned a wrangler and two of the squar body cherokees. Had good luck with all. Would love to see this model become a reality.

Yeah, TJ you once again don’t know what you are talking about. My Jeep has 250K and never had an issue.

Some would say what’s old is new again… I would say what’s old is simply more appealing to the eye.
As for this Jeep concept, looks great and they will sell bunches of them if they will make them.
