Streamliner Motorcycle Concept

1bmw2bmw3bmwSome industrial designers work for a corporation for a specific project intended to be produced. Some, use their industrial design skills to promote their skills to an entire industry.

This motorcycle concept rendering belongs to the category of dreamy designs that probably will never be produced. It was created by a designer named Mehmet Doruk Erdem based in Istanbul, Turkey.

The BMW Streamliner is supposed to be a machine that could be raced on the Bonneville Salts and features the appropriate basic design characteristics to offer a minimum of air resistance. It looks very good and can be an inspiration for those racing, or simply for those who want to build an over-extreme show bike…

    Mr. Erdem

    If I may offer you two pieces of advice;
    First; Never buy a cheap garden hose. They are a wast of money and don’t last.
    Second: Keep your current day job. You’re not quite ready to design motorcycles.

    Your humble and respectful servant.

    P.S. I LIKE LOUD PIPES!

    Eeesh ! Talk about one seriously botched Cut & Paste job . BMW emblems with a V-Twin motor … a rear tire about to wipe out the saddle [ and its rider ] on the first minor bump … the pretense of a ‘ Dustbin ‘ snout way over done … Heck … one could go on forever slamming all the errors in this digitally rendered mess . So like Bleeding Ears said Mr Erdem … don’t even consider quitting the day job … there is no future for you in motorcycle design … custom or otherwise

    It’s just all over the place from a design perspective. Keep at it though, they can’t all be the Mona Lisa.

    Updating the old Dustbin idea.
    Looks very cool.

    Mr. Manning’s first comment says it all.
    I thought the “Dustbin” fairing went out decades ago. 😉
