Corbin Introduces Dual The Touring Saddle for 2015 Indian Chief Roadmaster

1roadmaster1Corbin’s new Dual Touring Saddle is designed to maximize the seating area by positioning the rider bucket in the sweet spot to offer the best possible ergonomics and long range comfort. Sculpted seating platforms conform to the shape of your body to give more square inches of even support and eliminate hot spots and pressure on your tailbone. This version of Corbin’s Dual Touring saddle is specially designed to work with the Roadmaster trunk.

2roadmaster3Bucket shaping of the front seating area gives a great amount of body support. Back curves up at the back provide over six inches of support to your lower back. Towards the front of the bucket the saddle goes narrower to allow for ground reach. Smaller riders may prefer to slide forward and out of the bucket at stop signs for best ground reach.

The Corbin’s Dual Tour offers the option of electric seat heaters in both the rider and passenger seating positions. Both the rider and passenger areas are controlled independently via conveniently located switches in the left side panels. Corbin’s seat plugs directly into wiring that already exists on the motorcycle.

On the outside Corbin uses genuine leather seating for a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Distressed tan leather is used just for Indian models to coordinate with their accessories or choose the standard natural grain black leather depending on your bike’s options. Genuine leather fringe lends for a true classic Indian look is available at no extra charge. In keeping with the design of the OEM components, Corbin incorporated an oversized stitching so you can keep a consistent appearance across all components for vintage appeal.

For your Indian Roadmaster, Corbin also offers an improved passenger trunk armrest. Just like the Corbin saddle, the trunkrest maximizes body contact to disperse weight over a greater area and reduce hot spots. Sculpted to fit your passengers back and fit perfectly to the Indian trunk. Includes genuine leather back panels and comes fully coordinated to your Corbin saddle. Corbin trunk armrest includes BOTH the upper trunkrest and the small lower pad near the seat.

Mike Corbin was quick to accessorize Indian Motorcycle models by purchasing a numbered early bike and developing seats.

Thank Mike for your vision and continued support.

Corbin has been supporting the Indian brand since Gilroy started back up.
Not one of the many johnny come latelys
A good company for Indian owners to support

Corbin has been around for decades … building some of the best accessories available for the overwhelming majority of motorcycle brands in existence . So why the sudden surprise/love fest over them selling a few goodies for the Indian brand ?

Suffice it to say … its got nothing to do with any veil of support …. and everything to do with maximizing a perceived potential profit … all while beating your competition to the punch .

e.g. Lets ‘ get real ‘ here . Corbin is all about a company that is run by some seriously astute , intelligent and sensible businessmen [ and women ] … not about ‘ supporting ‘ this brand or that 😉

Very nice & very stylish !!!
What really nice is that Corbin managed to retain the heated traits of the original seat
There are a lot of aftermarkets out there where you lose that ability
it is one of the better selling pints of the bike
Now if only Kuryakyn or Avon or somebody
would invent a grip that retains the heat ability, life would be perfect
(yes I know Avon has heated grips [by heat demons] but are they compatible ?

    TJ –

Out of curiosity – other than the Indian brand going away (ain’t gonna happen BTW) what makes you happy about Indian? Anything?

You seem pretty grumpy about all things Indian. So we do not have a customer in you, and that is a bummer for us I guess – or not – can’t really say. But there are thousands of riders discovering modern Indian Motorcycles that live up to the promise of the brand every day. The power style and heritage that stands apart from a sea of sameness.

Yes we are seeing lots of familiar trade-ins, but interestingly there are loads of riders choosing to add to their garage and increase their options. As we said from the start – choice is a good thing. getting to choose between a couple great bikes in your garage – even better.

It takes money, a vision and commitment to stand behind brands and support them with accessory options. Doing that for the majority product is easier, but still hard work. I applaud Mike not only for these sorts of decisions over the past many years, but for pushing limits and having the guts to stand by his work.

Many companies are doing just that – Lloyds, Aeromach, V&H and more all the time. They see the future that you do not I suppose.

I hope that whatever you have to ride makes you proud, lights your fire and suits your needs. Maybe you are already riding your dream bike – but spending so much effort to take digs at Indian makes me wonder this stuff.

    See you down the road.

TJ – Yes Corbin has made an astute business decision by choosing to make parts for Indians, but I fail to see where making an astute business decision is somehow wrong or unworthy of praise. Corbin has taken a risk by putting development money in to this and choosing to trust that Polaris will do a good enough job with sustaining the Indian brand to ensure that there is a long term return on their investment. This takes guts.
I don’t know if you own a business or not, I really doubt it, but as a small business owner myself I can tell you that every time you risk your time and capital on developing a product or service line that is dependent on the continuity of another company, you are showing your support for that company in the most sincere way possible, by risking your own cash and betting on it’s success. If that’s not support I don’t know what is.
