Harley-Davidson Kansas City Plant Makes List Of US Best Factory Tours. CNN interviewed one of the authors of “Watch it Made in the U.S.A.: A Visitor’s Guide to the Best Factory Tours and Company Museums,” who shared her top 9 favorites from across the U.S., which included the Kansas City Harley-Davidson plant. Visitors can view the complete assembly of the Sportster, V-Rod and Dyna models. With the “Steel Toe Tour” visitors get a true behind-the-scenes look and are required to wear steel toe protection, a safety vest and safety glasses. Other factory tours making the list include the Fender factory and custom shop tour in Corona, Calif., the Jelly Belly factory tour in Fairfield, Calif., the Ford Rouge Factory tour in Dearborn, Mich., and Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory tour in Waterbury, Vt.

Harris Performance is one of the leading experts in designing and manufacturing of specialized high- performance motorcycle chassis and components. Harris Performance has had a longstanding relationship with Royal Enfield and was responsible for the chassis development of the brand’s Continental GT café racer model. Under the terms of the deal, Royal Enfield will acquire all assets, employees, trade names, technical know-how and intellectual property of Harris Performance Products Ltd.

The company has been awarded a grant of $1,009,220 from the California Energy Commission (CEC). With matching commitment from Zero, over $2M in funding will be made available to drive the company’s continued research, development and assembly of 100% electric motorcycles at their California headquarters.

    I would rather tour the best factories than visit the factories with the best tours. Congrats to Indian, Royal Enfield, and Zero on their continued success. When Harley quits cutting wages and laying off employees and starts raising wages and hiring more employees I will congratulate them on their success too.

    ZERO’s success ? And what success would that be pray tell . Stealing money from CA taxpayers because they can’t pay their own way ? Opening up into a market with next to zero disposable income … and economy on the verge of collapse and ZERO interest in EV’s of any kind ?

    Gee .. thats success alright … assuming you consider being subsidized lock stock and barrel and going to a market where there is no market as …. success

    Polaris ? Ehhh …. any takers that within the next five years we and the Company will all be singing
