Great pieces of history.
i’d take that Crocker and strip it down
Red Vincent,
Someone will buy it for it’s rarity but a Vincent in red is like a Ferrari in pink.
Imagine if that TT ? Bonnie could talk ! What tales it could tell…………………….my choice
That Indian’Crocker is stunning.
That Vincent Black Prince is a trip. Is that air cooled? Must ride like a sail in crosswinds.
Beautiful, simply beautiful, old iron at it’s best !!!
Especially that Vincent Black Prince & red White Shadow !!!
Whew, wish I was in that tax bracket !!!
SYF, yeah, std air-cooled Vincent engine. Hard to see from the side, but the bodywork curves out in front to make a scoop of sorts, forcing the air through the bodywork like a tunnel. That whole back section of bodywork hinges up like the trunk of a car.
Not meant as a commercial, hopefully the house won’t mind this link;

@ Woody’s Thanks for the info and link. I love to learn about antique bikes and see the original ad from back in the day.
My pleasure, SYF, and thanks to Cyril for allowing the link. Wish I could remember the details but there’s an unusual seat setup on that Vincent. I was lucky enough to examine and sit on one of them some years back (Chicago area guys-remember the Highland House on Sunday mornings?) and the owner tilted the back body up to reveal the “upside down softail” like suspension. You can see the bright dot of a hinge/pivot point for the body right at the front lower corner of the seat, and it appears the seat would hit the tank before you could even raise it 30°. I remember the owner did something to unlatch the seat from from the body at one end (back?) and swung it away prior to lifting the the tail section up almost 90°.
