Velociraptor Air Cleaner For Harley Models

1AC2ACLooking like a race velocity stack but unlike most velocity stacks on the market, the Velociraptor breathes and filters the air with a K&N washable element. The Super Ring insert covers up the mounting bolts, delivering smooth airflow into your motor. For many Harley model applications, in chrome or black with a polished stainless screen. From MSRP $139.99 to S169.99. It is strongly recommend to do a recalibration of the ECM on all EFI models using a tool such as the TTS MasterTune (P/N 9225) or Vance & Hines Fuel Pak (P/N 230), sold separately. Pictured with optional Throttle Servo Motor cover. At Crusher Performance. (Emissions Notice – Not Available for Sale in the State of California)

BUT does this “air cleaner” clean the air as well as a stock paper element air cleaner?

id guess any k&n filter is better than a stock one. I’m not a huge fan of the ‘football’ stock cover and i think this looks good.

That’s a good looking part, and reasonably priced.

bobx….It’s my understanding that any brand washable foam filter is not nearly as effective as a paper element filter.

It’s tiny. Guess how much of that deadly fine road dust it will hold back. Or of that evil black sludge on a rainy day. If you like your engine, go stock.

K&N’s aren’t foam, they are a rinsable (spray on cleaner, rinse out under faucet, no high pressure air or water) reusable gauze element.

At that price with a K&N element it’s a no brainer. I will have one.

hotrodssisco…”.K&N’s aren’t foam, they are a rinsable (spray on cleaner, rinse out under faucet, no high pressure air or water) reusable gauze element”…. I stand corrected. However, the question remains…Will the k&n reusable gauze element be as effective as the stock paper element filter?? I seems to me, especially with the huge reduction in filter surface and it’d comparative denseness, it would be unreasonable to expect it to do the job…

    then don’t buy one richards.
