Redesigned BMW R Nine T

1bmwrnine2bmwrnineI never been a fan of the typical BMW motorcycle aesthetics, although I agree that they are great riding bikes. But whatever the brand you ride, customize, etc you must admit, like me, that this custom R Nine T is beautiful…and that it would be great if it would be manufactured by BMW Motorrad.
3bmwrnine4bmwrnine5bmwrnineBuilt by American born Willie Knoll, a former photographer now living in Paris and doing motorcycle work under the name of Clutch Motorcycles, who turned the factory over-muscled R Nine T into an elegant lines Roadster .

To reach his objective, Willie had to fabricate a new subframe, a new gas tank , new side covers and refined the R None T stance thanks to a brand new bodywork and making it roll on taller than stock 18” spoke wheels. Hand-made main components include the front fender, rear-sets, exhaust, clip-ons, etc. The not-so-flattering BMW accessories were simplified or removed if unnecessary. The result is a very chic and harmonious BMW, and in my opinion there are way too few of them on the road. Clutch Motorcycles.

Cyril’s first paragraph was my first impression, also. That’s a really sharp bike!

sweet. the gaping hole on the left side of the rear wheel hub takes some getting used to; struck me as unfinished and after awhile i’m still don’t know whether he should cap it.

wish him well with his garage/ store. hope this beauty drives some well-heeled customers to his shop.

Darn near made me barf when I first looked at it…darn near makes me barf when I look at it now. Cannot believe any American riders think this is a good looking bike. Looks like a bug. Motorcycles are supposed to look like motorcycles, not something put together by an Iraqi, Pakistani, ISIS member! Just my opinion.

BMW motorcycles? Some of the best riding, worst looking bikes on the road. But this one? Wow!

Maybe if the previous poster would jus throw up and get it over with, might shake that bug that’s hindered his eyesight as well. Looks like some quality craftsmanship to me and whatever nationality you choose to associate with that, so be it. Wonder about the single-sided swing arm though, most that I’ve encountered are heavier than a conventional equivalent.

I like anything with 2 wheels. While looks are important, they are NOT everything. Motorcycles have a visual appeal about them, but they are to machines ride. Who cares what it really “Look Like”. I am old enough to ride because I love riding, not because I’m trying to make a fashion statement or be seen on a “good looking” bike.
    Shallow much?
