Until now the Malenotti family, owner of the Matchless brand, is only licensing the brand name for a motorcycle/casual clothing line. But the Malenottis are looking for funding to produce 2 motorcycles. At least a £5 million or about US $7 million budget, which seems quite low to conceive from the ground up and produce 2 brand new motorcycles. Matchless is proposing to issue 5-year bonds carrying a 6% interest, a very high yield per short term corporate bond standards, and underscoring the risk taken by investors who would buy them.

Electric Project Harley-Davidson LiveWire Given Green Light. Sean Cummings, Harley-Davidson’s senior vice president of global demand confirmed that the company will produce an electric motorcycle within the next five years. Harley-Davidson tries to continue to appeal to its core aging clientele while preparing to attract a new large fanbase with electric motorcycle technology.

It May Happen Soon In Big American Cities. Motorcycles Built Before 1 June 1999 Will Be Banned From Entering Paris, France. Starting 1 July, between the hours of 8am and 8pm in an attempt to cut a massive spike in air pollution across the city, pre-1999 motorcycles will be banned in the city because air quality dropped lower than that of Beijing. London will introduce similar regulations in 2020.

A pair of philanthropists will be taking center stage for the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum’s annual Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies as John Paul DeJoria will not only serve as emcee, but welcome his long-time riding buddy and Peace*Love*Happiness Ride co-founder Gary Spellman to the Class of 2016. The 2016 Hall of Fame Induction Breakfast will be held August 10, 2016 at the Lodge at Deadwood in Deadwood, South Dakota.     How many pre 99 motorcycles are going to make pollution worse than it is?
    This is bullsh*t.
    The mentality of politicians and greenies baffles my mind.
    I understand they make a little more pollution than newer fuel injected, catalytic equipped machines, but it’s not even a drip in the bucket on the grand scale.
    Always pick on the motorcyclists, outlaw fun.
