Inspired By The Motorcycle Driveline

watchcesAt CES, the International Consumer Electronics Trade Show that takes place every January in Las Vegas, a Swiss watch company called Azimuth showed this watch inspired by the motorcycle chain driveline.

Azimuth has the reputation of pursuing very unusual developments in the field of complications. This new watch model, called the SP-1 Crazy Rider, features an asymmetrical case in which a chain wrapped around a pair of sprockets turning in unison. As they do, a hand attached to the chain moves along a series of 24 numbers indicating the hour, while a more traditional spinning hand in the center of the left sprocket indicates the minute.
