Picture Of The Week

wwiharleyHe was the first to be riding the streets of defeated Germany on a Harley-Davidson at the end of WWI. His name was Roy Holtz from Wisconsin, a corporal with the US army entering Germany through Belgium on November 12, 1918. This picture was published first in American magazines and newspapers, then much later in February 1944 in the Enthusiast, the official Harley magazine.

A nice historical note, I love it.

Many kids today are not taught penmanship.

I remember those days with the example script surrounding the room with the inkwell top right on the desk. Kinda enjoyed that, then. No cell phones and texting distracting you, pure focus.

The penmanship is nice, but it wouldn’t satisfy the nuns that taught me. The H & G are of the writer’s own flair. 🙂

    Great pic

Lou, of Boerum Hill, there is initial and increasing evidence, particularly from around the midish 1990’s, that the condition of our microbiome health, will likely be a real contributor to the overall standard of our personal well-being and that has real implications, for the standard of our overarching immune system, which will impact our travel experiences for both work and pleasure and all lifestyle enjoyment!
