Italian MV Agusta Out Of Money. No New Models In 2017.

MV Agusta has been struggling during these last few years and is now in survival mode. Although MV Agusta Holdings received some funding by selling a large part of its shares to an Anglo-Russian group called Black Ocean, the company officially announced that it has not enough available money to develop new motorcycles, and consequently will focus on a limited number of its high end model, the 1200cc Brutale. MV Augusta Production is stated to be cut in half, from 10,000 to 5000 with a workforce downsized from 300 to 190.

HD already dabbled owning them in 2008…
Many Props to the still current Italian owners who have truly made the company products wonderful again but it is sad they’ve struggled so… They do perform extremely well and are well priced for such exotic tastefulness!! I have done a lot of research into their bikes and it’s a shame droves of people have simply over looked them in favor of a sure stable – more popular brands which aren’t necessarily better bikes or value….that’s how it appears in the Australian market anyway. I really want an F3 but I don’t have money to spare at this point in time : (
I may have to find a second hand one in time to come…which is a shame not to support the company now when they need it. Recent years have proved models very reliable but the service costs are a killer for these but Ducati are a similar story anyway… I won’t buy another Ducati, not when an MV is a better bike and a better buy I believe!

    I think of
Ducati as the Lambo of the bike world – which is very nice!!!
MV is the true Ferrari of the bike world… will be very sad if this iconic brand can’t continue productions : (
