Husqvarna 256 Thage Motorcycle

Of course, in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, they have custom motorcycle shops. One of them, named 6/5/4 Motors, specializes in turning old bikes into whatever please them and their clients…In this case, they took one of the 1000 Husqvarna 256 Thage Motorcycle – as created by the Swedish military in the 60’s – and turn it into a kind of service bike that you can use with your skis on…

Yes, it is equipped with a hand lever working as a hand shift. Was preserved only the frame and front end. Was modified: new bars, longer shocks of today, new seat and high exhaust, a black paint job replacing the military green. Only for those living winter in winter deep snow. 6/5/4 Motors (photos @ Johannes Helje)

This looks like the kind of bike young people ( millennials, hipsters) would like and be able to afford.

I’m confused about the ski. Do you wear that “ski/shoe” on your foot or is it mounted to that curved bar coming off the frame?

I’m guessing that you have rear brake and shifting up on the bars or elsewhere?

Any ideas? Otherwise it’s a cool old vintage Husky dirtbike / snowbike.
